Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance as this is an onsite position.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms and ensures the day-to-day cleanliness of the facility, including data center, customer area, office space and restrooms (including minor issues such as unstopping toilets or tightening toilet seats).\nAssists front-of-house office area requests, including, but not limited to, furniture moves, material movement, lighting (changing lightbulbs) and cleanliness.\nMaintains client cages on the data floor to include removal of data floor debris.\nPrepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.\nOrders, tracks and restocks facility-related consumable items and parts ensuring performance at the lowest possible cost.\nMoves heavy items around with a cart, pallet jack or forklift.\nPerforms project work or duties assigned by a supervisor, and continually monitors material processes for improvement.\nAccurately documents daily tasks and reports all findings.\nCleans building floors and data floors by sweeping, mopping, hot mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.\nGathers and empties trash. Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.\nCleans and polishes furniture and fixtures. Dusts furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.\nCleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.\nPerforms physical labor for various maintenance functions, including minor repairs, drywall repair and finish, painting, wall hangings, and stocking/organizing materials.\nRemoves debris from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.\nSets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.\nSafely mixes water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.\nSteam-cleans or shampoos carpets. Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.\nCleans and restores building interiors using commercial cleaning equipment.\nDrives vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.\nAs time permits, assists the Mechanical and Electrical CFOps team members with day-to-day tasking such as filter replacement, Cooling Tower Yard cleaning, and any other basic tasks.\nComply with all safety procedures and requirements.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES\nBasic skill with MS Office products, tablets and Data Entry\nMust be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment\nEffective communications skills, both written and oral\nDetailed oriented\nOperate Hand and Machine Tools\nOperate a forklift, can be trained within the company.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nMinimum 6 months’ facility maintenance or custodian experience\nHand and Machine tool experience required\nBasic computer and tablet aptitude\nFire and Life/Safety training preferred\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to communicate effectively with verbal, visual, and listening skills\nMotor skills necessary to complete physical work and computer tasks\nAble to climb a ladder and work on a raised platform\nDexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments\nWORK CONDITIONS\nTypical office and data center work environment with varying temperatures and loud noises\nPPE required including sturdy work boots, hardhat, glasses, and a high visibility vest when performing certain tasks\nRegular daily usage of a computer or workstation.\nWork on site; no telecommuting.\nSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS\nForklift Certification to be provided during employment.\nCPR/First Aid Certification to be provided during employment.\nMust wear close-toed shoes with a solid leather or composite sole.\nMust possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.\nRequires flexibility to work additional hours in evenings or weekends to meet business requirements or client needs.\nCompensation Pay Range\nFor roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.\nThis is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.\nNTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location.
