As a key member of the local finance leadership, you will be responsible for accurate and compliant statutory accounting, effective cooperation with the shared service centre, and the leadership and development of the local accounting team. The role requires strong Hungarian accounting expertise, hands-on SAP R/3 experience, confident English communication and a practical, solution-oriented leadership style.\nResponsibilities\nLead the local accounting function and ensure compliance with Hungarian accounting, tax and statutory requirements\nOwn monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, provisions, accruals and accounting quality controls\nPrepare and oversee the annual statutory financial statements and required statutory filings\nAct as the registered accounting professional responsible for statutory financial reporting\nCoordinate corporate income tax, VAT and other tax compliance activities\nLead statutory and group audits and coordinate responses to auditor requests\nManage tax audits, authority reviews and statutory data requests\nMaintain local accounting policies, procedures and internal controls\nOversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, fixed assets and employee expense processes from a local governance perspective\nEnsure invoicing, VAT coding, supporting documentation and NAV Online reporting meet Hungarian legal requirements\nProvide professional oversight of accounting activities performed by the shared service centre\nMonitor SSC service quality, reconciliations, corrections, issue resolution and escalations\nDefine clear ownership and controls between the local retained team and the SSC\nPartner with Group Finance, auditors, tax advisers, IT and business stakeholders\nPlay a key role in SAP R/3 processes, testing, data quality and issue resolution\nSupport ERP and finance transformation initiatives and ensure alignment with Hungarian statutory requirements\nLead, coach and develop the local accounting team\nSet clear priorities, allocate responsibilities and ensure business continuity during peak periods and organisational changes\nRequirements\n Active Hungarian registered chartered accountant qualification (regisztrált mérlegképes könyvelő) is mandatory\nHungarian: fluent (Mandatory)\nEnglish: fluent (Mandatory)\nStrong knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations\nSignificant experience in a Chief Accountant, Head of Accounting or Financial Accounting Manager role\nHands-on SAP R/3 experience is mandatory\nExperience working with an SSC or outsourced finance model is mandatory\nProven people management experience, including coaching, prioritisation and team development\nExperience in statutory and group audits, tax audits and interaction with external advisers or authorities\nDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills\nERP implementation, migration or major system transition experience is an advantage\nKey Skills\nStrong professional judgement and ownership of accounting decisions\nHigh attention to detail and strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes\nStructured, proactive and deadline-oriented approach\nAbility to challenge constructively and escalate based on facts\nClear and credible communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders\nStrong stakeholder management in an international environment\nCollaborative leadership style with clear expectations and accountability\nContinuous improvement and process optimisation mindset\nResilience and the ability to operate effectively in a changing environment\nWhat We Offer\n Hybrid working (2-3 days remote)\nSupportive and collaborative team\nPersonal development and training plans\nAnnual bonus plan\nCompany car\nHealth insurance (Medicover) and AYCM membership\nCareer growth opportunities\nModern office environment, fruit days and dog-friendly office\nCSR activities\nAdditional Information\nRegional exposure and cooperation with Group Finance\nParticipation in finance transformation and ERP projects\nOpportunity to shape the local accounting and SSC governance model\nWorkplace type:\nHybrid WorkingAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30+ billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune\nGlobal 100.
