By hiring, the best people and helping them grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for NTT DATA and for the people who work here.\nPreferred Experience\nIdeal candidate has been supporting traditional server based relational databases (Postgresql ,RedisDB and MongoDB) for over 10+ years out of which last 6+ years in public cloud environments (GCP).\nInstall, configure, and maintain Patroni clusters for PostgreSQL.\nManage distributed consensus systems (e.g., etcd, Consul, ZooKeeper) used by Patroni.\nEnsure automatic failover and leader election are functioning properly.\nMonitor cluster health and replication state (leader vs replicas).\nPerform controlled switchover and failover operations when needed.\nConfigure and manage streaming replication.\nMonitor replication lag and performance.\nHandle replica creation and re-syncing nodes.\nTroubleshoot replication issues (WAL delays, slot problems).\nHands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MongoDB, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.\nDemonstrated expertise in managing PostgreSQL databases on AZURE, GCP and AWS RDS.\nExperience with features such as automated backups, maintenance, and scaling - Postgresql\nAbility to analyze and optimize complex SQL queries for performance improvement.\nProficiency in setting up and managing monitoring tools for PostgreSQL on GCP.\nExperience with configuring alerts based on performance metrics.\nExperience in implementing and testing backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS/AZURE SQL/GCP Cloud SQL.\nKnowledge and experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans for PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS/AZURE SQL/GCP Cloud SQL.\nGood Understanding of database security principles and best practices.\nProven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in PostgreSQL databases.\nExperience in optimizing database configurations for better performance.\nAble to provide 24*7 shift hours support at L3 level\nExperience in updating KB articles, Problem Management articles, and SOPs/runbooks\nPassion for delivering timely and outstanding customer service\nGreat written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers\nStrong ITIL foundation experience\nAbility to work independently or no direct supervision.\nShare domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.\nWork directly with end customer, business stakeholders as well as technical resources.\nShare domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.\nWork directly with end customer, business stakeholders as well as technical resources.\nBasic Qualifications\n10+ years of overall DBA operational experience\n5+ years of GCP experience as a cloud DBA (Postgresql (Patroni)/Mongo DB/Redisdb)\n5+ years of experience working in diverse cloud support database environments in a 24*7 production support model\nQuery fine tuning - MongoDB\nShell scripts for Monitoring like ‘slow queries’, replication lag, nodes fails, disk usage. etc\nBackup and restores (Backups should be automated with shell scripts/Ops Manager)\nDatabase Health check (Complete review of Database slow queries, fragmentation, index usage. etc)\nUpgrades (Java version, Mongo version. etc)\nMaintenance (Data Centre outages etc)\nArchitecture design as per the Application requirement\nWriting best practices documents for shading, replication for Dev/App teams\nLog rotation/ maintenance (mongos, mongodb, config etc)\nSegregation of duties (User Management -
