This position requires an experienced systems programmer supporting the z/OS Mainframe Network environment. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining the integrity and data/IP security of the Mainframe's host communication subsystems and associated program products.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nBeing part of a multi-functional team, supporting IBM mainframe networks and transmissions products and infrastructure.\nParticipation in support rota providing 24x7 cover.\nPerform TCPIP Port Reserves (Additions, Deletions, Changes) Perform VTAM updates (Additions, Deletions, Changes)\nManage OSA Adapters in a complex mainframe environment\nPerform VTAM PU/LU updates (Additions, Deletions, Changes) including Enterprise Extenders (EE)\nImplement AT-TLS rules (digital certificate management). Configure and manage IPSEC policies (permit/deny rules, VPN- ipsec tunnels)\nTrace, Debug and Error Analysis\nCommunicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure Network connectivity and security (may involve some after hours and weekend work)\nThe ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:\nExperience in administering file transmissions products such as Connect:Direct and FTP, or alternatively good experience as a user of these products.\nKnowledge of z/OS and z/OS utilities. \nUnderstanding of z/OS networking services, structure and related software and protocols.\nUnderstanding of network security disciplines (IPSec, TLS/SSL, certificates, etc) and how they relate to file transmission.\nExperience of problem management from initial diagnosis through to resolution.\nUnderstanding of the Change Management process.\nAbility to customize and manage secure SNA and TCP/IP networks under z/OS.\nKnowledge of mainframe network management tools, e.g. NetMaster, and multi-session manager products such as TUBES and Supersession.\nExperience of managing mainframe printing products.\nGeneral z/OS systems programming experience.\nKnowledge of System z hardware including the OSA-Express network cards.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\nGood communication, teamwork and negotiation skills\nFamiliarity with the Cisco Network Solutions \nThe ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure\nGood organisational skills\nFlexibility and adaptability\nThe ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and customers\nBusiness awareness and understanding of business requirements of IT\nA willingness to keep up to date with developments in new technology\nAn understanding of information legislation, such as the Data Protection Act.\nExperience of working as a z/OS Systems Specialist in the IT industry.\nWorkplace type:\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30+ billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune\nGlobal 100.
