This role requires deep experience in cloud transformation, digital modernization, data platforms, security architecture, and regulatory compliance specific to the insurance sector. The architect will collaborate with senior leadership, business units (Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, Customer Platforms), and technology teams to ensure IT investments align with business outcomes, operational resilience, and long-term strategic goals.\nEnterprise Architecture & Strategy\nDevelop and maintain the enterprise IT strategy, technology roadmap, and architecture blueprints.\nAlign IT initiatives with insurance business priorities such as claims automation, underwriting modernization, digital customer experience, and regulatory compliance.\nDefine target architectures for cloud, data, integration, security, and application modernization.\nCloud & Digital Transformation\nLead cloud adoption strategy across AWS, OCI, and hybrid environments.\nDefine modernization approaches for legacy insurance systems (policy admin, claims, billing).\nEvaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, RPA, low-code platforms) for business value.\nGovernance & Compliance\nEstablish architecture governance frameworks, standards, and review processes.\nEnsure compliance with insurance regulatory requirements (auditability, data residency, cybersecurity).\nDefine policies for data governance, API management, and security architecture.\nStakeholder Engagement & Leadership\nPartner with C-suite, business leaders, and product owners to translate business strategy into technology execution.\nProvide architectural guidance to engineering teams and lead cross-functional design workshops.\nCommunicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nRisk Management & Resilience\nIdentify technology risks, dependencies, and gaps in current architecture.\nDefine strategies for disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience.\nEnsure architectures support scalability, performance, and security.\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement\nEvaluate new technologies and industry trends relevant to insurance.\nDrive continuous improvement in architecture practices, tooling, and governance.\nMentor architects and senior engineers.\nArchitecture & Design\nStrong experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).\nExpertise in designing cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures.\nDeep understanding of insurance core systems (policy admin, claims, underwriting, actuarial).\nCloud & Integration\nHands-on knowledge of AWS, OCI, Azure, and hybrid cloud patterns.\nExperience with API gateways, ESB, event streaming (Kafka), and integration platforms.\nData & Analytics\nKnowledge of data governance, data quality, lineage, and regulatory reporting.\nExperience with data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, OCI Autonomous Data Warehouse).\nSecurity & Compliance\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).\nExperience with IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and audit controls.\nNon-Technical Requirements\nExcellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.\nStrong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.\nAbility to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.\nHigh integrity, ownership, and business acumen.\nPrefered Certificate\nTOGAF 9 / TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification\nAWS Solutions Architect - Professional\nOCI Architect Professional\nCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)\nInsurance sector strongly values this.\nCertified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)\nITIL 4 Managing Professional\nSAFe Architect / SAFe Agilist (enterprise transformation)\nPMP or PRINCE2 (governance & delivery alignment)\nAbility to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset.\nProactive in identifying strategic opportunities and risks.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
