platforms, enterprise WLAN design, troubleshooting, and migration of wireless infrastructure from Aruba to Cisco.\nThe engineer will act as a senior technical resource responsible for complex wireless incidents, problem management, design validation, implementation, optimization, and migration activities across large enterprise environments.\nThe role requires strong troubleshooting capability across the complete wireless stack, including Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, RF, authentication, switching, DHCP/DNS, AAA/RADIUS, Cisco ISE, and client connectivity.\nKey Responsibilities\nCisco Wireless LAN Controller - L3 Support\nProvide L3 operational and engineering support for enterprise Cisco wireless environments.\nConfigure, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize:\nCisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers\nCisco AireOS WLC platforms where applicable\nCisco Catalyst Access Points\nTroubleshoot complex wireless connectivity, roaming, authentication, RF, performance, and client onboarding issues.\nPerform detailed root cause analysis for recurring and major wireless incidents.\nAnalyse WLC and AP logs, debugs, packet captures, and client connection statistics.\nTroubleshoot issues involving:\nAP registration\nCAPWAP\nClient association\nAuthentication\nDHCP\nDNS\nVLAN assignment\nRoaming\nRF interference\nPoor signal / SNR\nHigh channel utilization\nClient drops\nThroughput degradation\nConfigure WLANs, SSIDs, policies, RF profiles, AP groups/tags, VLAN mappings, and mobility configurations.\nPerform software upgrades, controller migrations, AP upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.\nSupport High Availability and redundancy configurations for wireless controllers.\nAruba-to-Cisco Wireless Migration\nLead or support migration of enterprise wireless infrastructure from Aruba Wireless to Cisco Catalyst Wireless.\nAssess existing Aruba environments including:\nAruba Mobility Controllers\nAruba Mobility Conductor/Master\nAruba Access Points\nSSIDs\nAAA profiles\nVLAN mappings\nRF configurations\nAuthentication policies\nTranslate existing Aruba wireless configurations and policies into equivalent Cisco configurations.\nDevelop migration methodologies, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and test plans.\nPerform Aruba-to-Cisco configuration mapping for:\nSSIDs/WLANs\nVLANs\nAuthentication\nRADIUS\n802.1X\nGuest wireless\nCorporate wireless\nRF policies\nAP groups\nAccess policies\nSupport AP replacement and migration activities across enterprise locations.\nValidate coverage, authentication, roaming, connectivity, and application performance following migration.\nPerform pre- and post-migration health checks.\nTroubleshoot migration-related client compatibility and authentication issues.\nWork closely with site teams and field engineers during physical AP replacement and cutover activities.\nWireless Design and Optimization\nReview wireless architecture and provide recommendations for improvements.\nAnalyse RF performance and recommend channel, power, and coverage optimization.\nUnderstand and troubleshoot:\n2.4 GHz\n5 GHz\n6 GHz\nWi-Fi 5 / 802.11ac\nWi-Fi 6 / 802.11ax\nWi-Fi 6E\nAnalyse RSSI, SNR, channel utilization, interference, retransmissions, and client density.\nSupport wireless capacity planning and high-density deployments.\nReview wireless survey outputs and recommend AP placement or RF changes.\nIdentify coverage gaps and performance issues.\nAuthentication and Cisco ISE Integration\nStrong understanding of enterprise wireless authentication technologies including:\n802.1X\nRADIUS\nEAP-TLS\nPEAP\nMAC Authentication Bypass\nWeb Authentication\nTroubleshoot authentication issues between:\nWireless clients\nCisco WLC\nCisco ISE\nActive Directory\nPKI/Certificate infrastructure\nAnalyse RADIUS transactions and Cisco ISE authentication logs.\nSupport dynamic VLAN assignment and role/policy-based
