We are particularly interested in engineers who sit at the intersection of backend software engineering and data streaming.\nThe right profile should be comfortable writing substantial Java business logic, while also understanding how applications interact through Kafka-based asynchronous and event-driven architectures.\nThis is not a pure DevOps role. The position involves hands-on software engineering and the development of business logic using Java, rather than focusing primarily on infrastructure management, CI/CD pipelines, or platform operations.\nAt the same time, this is more than a traditional Backend Java role. The focus goes beyond standard REST/CRUD applications, with a strong emphasis on event-driven architectures, real-time data processing, Kafka-based integrations, and cloud-native solutions running on AWS.\nThe ideal candidate has a strong Java engineering background combined with practical experience designing and implementing solutions using Apache Kafka. Experience with Confluent Kafka / Confluent Platform is highly desirable but not mandatory.\nWhat you'll be doing\nDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services supporting data-driven business processes\nBuild and evolve event-driven and real-time data streaming architectures using Apache Kafka\nDevelop Kafka producers, consumers, event-processing components, and integration services\nDesign reliable and scalable communication patterns between distributed systems\nBuild cloud-native solutions and deploy/integrate applications within AWS environments\nImplement business logic around asynchronous events and streaming data\nEnsure solutions are scalable, resilient, maintainable, and production-ready\nTroubleshoot application, integration, and data-streaming issues across distributed environments\nContribute to technical design and architectural discussions around Java, Kafka, AWS, and event-driven systems\nCollaborate with software engineers, architects, DevOps/cloud engineers, and other technical stakeholders\nApply software engineering best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, observability, and CI/CDWhat you'll bring along\n\nBSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field\nMinimum 6-8+ years of experience\nStrong hands-on experience with Java and modern Java development\nSolid experience with Apache Kafka in production environments\nGood understanding of: Kafka producers and consumers;
