If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.\nWe are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Advisor - GL & Intercompany to join our team in Remote, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).\nPosition Overview:\nIndividuals are expert in intercompany and have working knowledge of related subject areas. \nThey lead large scale projects. \nThey may lead or guide others on cross-functional projects outside of their own department. \nDevelops project plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, milestones, review points and reporting of project status. \nResponsible for preparation of dashboard and management reporting.\nAssist Auditors by providing requisite supporting documents. \nAnalyzes and prepares financial reports for leadership including identification of issues and trends.\nDevelops models, designs report and gathers information from systems.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification\nMinimum working experience of 8+ years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC\nExcellent communication skills & proficient in English\nSkilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc). SAP user knowledge is an added advantage.\nExert knowledge of relevant accounting practices and principles.\nPossess strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skill.\nStrong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task.\nAdvanced oral, written and presentation skills.\nAbility to train and mentor others.\nResults oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player.\nAble to lead & work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.\nAdvanced business partnering skill.\nGL Intercompany Accounting - Position’s General Duties & Tasks:\nManage end-to-end intercompany accounting activities for assigned legal entities, including monthly intercompany reconciliations, confirmations, settlements, and eliminations.\nPrepare, review, and post intercompany journal entries for management fees, recharges, , loans, interest, cost allocations, and cross-charges.\nEnsure intercompany balances, transactions, and profit margins are accurately recorded and matched between counterparties.\nInvestigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies, aged balances, unmatched invoices, currency differences etc.\nCoordinate closely with tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including intercompany balance sheet reconciliations and fluctuation analysis.\nMonitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, transfer pricing policies, and applicable accounting standards.\nAssist with intercompany netting and settlement processes, working with treasury where required.\nSupport internal and external audit requests by providing reconciliations, schedules, transaction support, and explanations of variances.\nIdentify process gaps and drive continuous improvements, including standardization, automation, and simplification of intercompany processes.\nDevelop and maintain intercompany process documentation, reconciliation templates, and key control procedures.\nProvide guidance and support to junior accounting team members where applicable.\nTo lead an existing Intercompany mismatch resolution project\nActively involved in an existing intercompany mismatch resolution project across multiple legal entities and regions.\nMaintain and continuously update the Intercompany Mismatch Grid to track outstanding balances, aging, root causes, owners, and resolution status.\nCoordinate with relevant intercompany counterparts to investigate, validate, and resolve outstanding mismatches within agreed timelines.\nPropose and process appropriate accounting corrections, reclassifications, accruals, or adjustment entries when required.\nEscalate long-outstanding, high-value, or complex items to relevant stakeholders and drive closure.\nEnsure all resolution actions are properly supported, documented, and approved in line with internal control requirements.\nSupport group consolidation by ensuring intercompany balances are accurately matched and elimination entries are complete and timely.\nProvide regular progress updates, aging analysis, and key issue reporting to management.\nIdentify recurring root causes and recommend process improvements to prevent future intercompany mismatches.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
