Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) Database Discovery, Assessment and Planning Assess database size, growth, workloads, utilization, dependencies, interfaces, availability requirements, and operating characteristics. Analyze schemas, stored procedures, functions, triggers, extensions, scheduled jobs, security models, and application dependencies. Classify databases by compatibility, migration complexity, business criticality, and recommended migration approach. Select target platforms across Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, RDS for MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Aurora MySQL. Produce capacity and sizing recommendations covering compute, memory, storage, IOPS, throughput, availability, backup, and recovery.
