We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Platform Engineer, to elevate our data and analytics environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and managing robust infrastructure solutions that leverage cloud technologies and big data frameworks, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.\nWhat you'll be doing\nInfrastructure as Code: Utilize Terraform and ARM templates to automate the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure\nScripting and Automation: Develop scripts in PowerShell and YAML for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and other automation tasks\nAzure Skills: Implement and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services, ensuring optimal performance and cost management\nNetworking: Configure and manage Azure networking components, including Application Gateways and Azure Firewalls, to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow\nMonitoring and Optimization: Visualize and monitor infrastructure performance and efficiency, leveraging native Azure tools and third-party solutions\nIdentity Management: Implement OAuth2 and OpenID Connect for secure authentication, utilizing Azure Entra ID as the identity provider\nPolicy Management: Enforce and manage Azure Policies to ensure compliance and governance of cloud resources\nScaling and Redundancy: Design and implement scalable solutions with redundancy features, such as geo-redundancy, to ensure high availability\nDatabase Management: Apply basic SQL knowledge for managing and querying databases as part of application deployments and operational support\nCollaboration: Work with development and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in DevOps practices\nOnCall availability (if needed)\nWhat you'll bring along\nBachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required\nMinimum 5 years demonstrable experience in a DevOps Engineer role\nStrong experience with Terraform, YAML, and PowerShell scripting\nProficient with Azure infrastructure components (IaaS and PaaS)\nFamiliarity with distributed systems and administration of Windows Servers\nUnderstanding of Azure Policies and redundancy scaling concepts\nExperience with Azure networking components and API Management\nKnowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect protocols, and Azure Entra Identity Provider\nBasic proficiency in SQL\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills\nFamiliarity with DevOps methodologies including Scrum and Agile practices for software development\nCertifications related to Azure and DevOps practices\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and practices\nKnowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)\nExcellent command of both spoken and written English\n\nDocument\n\nWhat’s in it for you\nNew beginnings can be a challenge.
