The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics across the organization.\nWorking closely with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and developers, the role requires translating business and reporting requirements into efficient, reliable, and high-performing data solutions built on the Microsoft Azure data platform.\nYour role:\nDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines using Azure cloud technologies.\nBuild and optimize data warehouse solutions to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.\nDevelop robust ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.\nCollaborate with business users and analysts to gather, analyse, and translate reporting and analytical requirements into technical solutions.\nEnsure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across the data platform.\nDevelop and maintain semantic models and datasets to support Power BI reporting.\nMonitor and optimize data platform performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.\nWork closely with solution architects and development teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture and best practices.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation for data models, pipelines, and processes.\nSupport production environments by troubleshooting issues and implementing continuous improvements.\nMentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices.\nYour Profile:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\nMinimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, big data, or cloud-based pipeline development.\nStrong experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.\nProven experience gathering, analysing, and translating business and reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nHands-on experience with Azure Databricks, including developing scalable data engineering solutions using PySpark, implementing Delta Lake architecture, optimising data pipelines, and applying performance tuning and best practices for large-scale data processing.\nGood working knowledge of the wider Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), with experience in data orchestration, integration, storage, and analytics solutions.\nAdvanced SQL development skills, including query optimisation and performance tuning.\nStrong programming skills in Python, with experience developing data engineering solutions and automation.\nHands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing in Azure Databricks.\nExperience designing dimensional data models (star and snowflake schemas) to support analytical reporting.\nExperience building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.\nStrong experience with Power BI, including: Developing and maintaining semantic models.\nImplementing efficient and reusable DAX measures and calculations.\nApplying Power BI best practices for data modelling, report performance optimisation, security (Row-Level Security), and governance.\nOptimizing datasets and reports for scalability and maintainability.\n\nStrong understanding of data governance, data quality, security, and metadata management.\nExperience working within Agile delivery teams.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nThis role describes your starting point at NTT DATA.
