The role offers the opportunity to work across cloud engineering, infrastructure automation and application support, while collaborating closely with development, operations and other stakeholders.\nYou’ll help ensure the reliability, availability and performance of systems and infrastructure, contribute to complex technical design, automate processes, and help improve overall system resilience. These responsibilities reflect the scope of the original\nWhat you’ll do\nDeliver cloud development and engineering activities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.\nBuild, maintain and improve Infrastructure as Code across a range of systems.\nCreate and maintain a\nutomated deployments and self-service capabilities.\nSupport and troubleshoot Java applications operating in Linux environments.\nBuild and support services and technologies including Microsoft Azure.\nUse cloud-native tools to monitor the health and utilisation of cloud services.\nUndertake performance tuning and contribute to operational improvements.\nParticipate in complex technical design and provide practical design input.\nTake ownership of relevant technologies within your area of specialisation.\nInvestigate complex issues and escalate unresolved problems to the Technical Lead or appropriate third parties.\nProduce reports, proposals and maintain clear project documentation.\nMentor and coach engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing, skills development and the adoption of effective engineering practices.\nWork directly with the client onsite to understand and address complex solution requirements\nEssential criteria\nTo succeed in this role, you will need:\nDemonstrated practical experience and understanding of cloud implementations.\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.\nExperience with Elasticsearch.\nExperience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.\nExperience troubleshooting Java applications in a Linux environment, or Java development experience.\nExperience creating and maintaining automated deployments.\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably including Ansible and ARM.\nAbility to work full-time from the client’s premises in Canberra.\nAn AGSVA NV1 security clearance, as required for the position. \nDesirable criteria\nExperience mentoring team members is desirable.\nKnowledge of the products in some of the following technology stack:\nAzure Bicep, Terraform, HBase/HDFS (HDInsight), Neo4j, Kafka, NiFi, Kibana, Logstash, GraphQL, Redis, WSO2 Identity Server (or similar), WSO2 API Manager (or similar), PostgreSQL (or similar), React (or similar), Java springboot.
