Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion - it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.\nPosition Overview:\nWe are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team.\nSenior Network Engineer responsibilities include managing and optimizing in-house and cloud-based networks, developing and implementing network security protocols, and troubleshooting network issues. You have extensive experience managing a hybrid network (Azure preferred) that is highly available and fault tolerant. Experience with and an expert understanding of firewalls is a must.\nThe primary goal of the Senior Network Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. This position is expected to be the subject matter expert and “go to” individual on the team to troubleshoot complex problems nobody else can solve.\nOur ideal candidate is cool under pressure, an expert problem solver, highly motivated, a team player but also able to work independently, and is someone that is constantly looking for ways to make improvements and isn’t afraid to bring those suggestions forward.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN)\nConfigure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancer, VPN, QoS)\nPerform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations\nPerform cost estimation and identify mechanisms for cost control and containment\nMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability\nMonitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning\nWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure\nSelect and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team\nLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutions\nEnsure security and compliance with policies and procedures\nProvide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve network related issues\nStay updated with the latest trends in networking\nDocument and maintain network environment configurations and diagrams\nProvide assistance and mentoring to other IT team members\nQualifications:\nMust Have\n10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer\n5+ years of experience in a senior role\nDeep understanding of network protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)\nSolid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model\nHands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytics tools\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills\nExperience with both on-premises and cloud (Azure preferred) networks\nExperience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls\nExperience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting VPN IPSEC tunnels\nProfessional certifications in networking\nEffective communication skills (written and verbal)\nWould be a Plus\nExperience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting an IPS/IDS\nExperience with Fortinet network devices and firewalls\nExperience designing and managing networks to optimize VoIP traffic\nExperience with F5 BigIP devices\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field\nThis is a home office-based position, with some travel for company/salesmeetings as well as to client sites.
