This role provides multi-technology consulting services across application software, infrastructure, and related technology components.\nKey roles and responsibilities:\nContributes to the development of complex UCC solution architectures across specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.\nDesigns, describes, and calculates multi-vendor solutions with a focus on technologies and solutions from Alcatel-Lucent, Microsoft, AudioCodes, and other third-party providers.\nEvaluates, discusses, and presents solutions to clients.\nIdentifies and evaluates alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.\nPrepares and contributes to customer proposals, including effort estimation, costing, pricing input, and commercially viable solution descriptions in close collaboration with sales and delivery teams.\nBrings subject matter expertise in multi-technology infrastructure design and related best practices.\nSupports a change program or project through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards.\nAccountable for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.\nMonitors the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.\nCreates reports and technology roadmaps and shares knowledge and insights with others.\nProvides recommendations for the development of new go-to-market services and contributes domain knowledge across relevant industry verticals.\nCoaches and mentors Junior Solution Architects.\nWorks in partnership with internal stakeholders to develop the architectural approach for one or more layers of a solution.\nExercises sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes.\nKnowledge, skills and attributes:\nSpecialist knowledge and strong understanding of the IT industry environment and associated business requirements.\nExtensive, long-standing knowledge and experience with multi-vendor UCC solutions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nGood commercial awareness and pre-sales skills, with the ability to translate technical solution concepts into value-based proposals and client-facing recommendations.\nSpecialist and long-standing knowledge of configuration and quoting tools from Alcatel-Lucent, Microsoft, AudioCodes, and other third-party providers.\nAbility to develop and apply specialist knowledge of reference architectures.\nAbility to maintain current knowledge of technology trends and developments across relevant domains.\nAcademic qualifications and certifications:\nQualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.\nPre-sales vendor certifications from Alcatel-Lucent, Microsoft, AudioCodes, and other third-party providers are desirable.\nExperience required:\nAt least 10 years of professional technical experience in Workplace and UCC solutions within large-scale, preferably multinational, client environments.
