Experience a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace where your ideas are valued, and your growth is supported.\nYour role at a glance\nThe Specialist, Accounting is responsible for executing core accounting operations, supporting statutory and operational financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.This role handles day-to-day accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support.\nThe Specialist collaborates across finance and operational teams to maintain accurate records, supports month-end and year-end close, and contributes to process improvements and automation initiatives.\nWhat we are looking for\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral Accounting & Journal Entries\nPrepare, review, and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.\nMaintain the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.\nInvestigate and resolve discrepancies in ledger accounts and journal postings.\nImplement internal controls and standard procedures to ensure integrity of accounting data.\nBalance Sheet Reconciliations & Month-End Closing\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany balances, and fixed assets.\nSupport month-end and year-end close activities, preparing journal entries and account schedules.\nCompile documentation and support for financial statement preparation.\nIdentify variances and discrepancies, providing explanations and corrective actions where necessary.\nFinancial Reporting Support\nAssist in preparing routine operational and statutory financial reports.\nSupport senior accounting staff in compiling accounting packs and schedules for management and auditors.\nEnsure all reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.\nProcess Improvement & Collaboration\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in accounting processes.\nCollaborate with team members and other finance functions to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.\nPerform other accounting-related tasks as requested by management.\nKNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES\nSolid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and general ledger operations.\nHands-on experience in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies and variances.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with the accounting team.\nGood organizational, planning, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nProactive, solutions-oriented, and committed to high ethical and professional standards.\nACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance / accounting or related field preferred.\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE\n4+ years of experience in general accounting, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close processes.\nExposure to preparing routine financial reports and supporting statutory reporting requirements.\nExperience with accounting systems and ERP platforms.\nFamiliarity with internal controls, audit support, and accounting documentation.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nRemain stationary for long periods of time.\nOperate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.\nPerform work during US business hours and time zones.\nWORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS\nSome travel may be required.\nPerform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.\nCompensation Pay Range\nFor roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process.\nThis is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.\nNTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location.
