Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion - it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive.\nYour day at NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is looking for a Senior Private Cloud Enterprise Architect to design, build and evolve a strategic client’s new Private Cloud capability as part of its wider Hybrid Multi-Cloud strategy.\nThe client and NTT DATA have agreed to begin the new Private Cloud journey using Red Hat OpenShift. The challenge is much broader than deploying an OpenShift platform.\nThe Private Cloud must provide a cloud-like consumption experience across a brownfield enterprise environment, combining container and virtualized workloads, automation, self-service, infrastructure services, security, resilience, observability and consumption-based management.\nThe initial European platform will be implemented within the client’s existing Eindhoven data-center environment and must integrate with existing infrastructure, including computing, storage, backup, networking and enterprise-management capabilities.\nYou will work closely with the client’s Cloud and Enterprise Architects and with NTT DATA’s platform, engineering, network, security, transformation and operations teams.\nThe client retains strategic architecture, policy, sovereignty, and key approval authority. Private Cloud strategic architecture, standards, service design and engineering are co-created with the client. Your role is therefore to bring the technical depth and architectural leadership needed to turn that direction into a coherent, implementable and supportable Private Cloud platform.\nThis is a client-facing role. You will work directly with client stakeholders in day-to-day architecture and delivery discussions and represent NTT DATA at senior technical level.\nThis role requires availability to work on-site in Eindhoven three days per week.\nWhat you will do\nAct as NTT DATA’s senior strategic and technical advisor for Private Cloud.\nBuild a trusted working relationship with the client’s Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, Security and platform teams.\nCo-create Private Cloud architecture and service-design decisions within the client’s retained architecture and governance framework.\nProvide architectural leadership for the OpenShift-based Private Cloud platform and its evolution.\nEnsure the platform supports both modern containerized services and the practical integration and migration needs of the client’s existing virtualized estate.\nTranslate requirements into scalable platform architectures and implementable high-level and low-level designs.\nGuide the integration of compute, virtualization, container platforms, storage, backup, networking and platform services into one coherent Private Cloud.\nEnsure the design integrates effectively with the existing NetApp storage and Rubrik backup capabilities and with the new dedicated Private Cloud network.\nProvide architectural leadership around OpenShift, Kubernetes, virtualization, software-defined infrastructure and platform engineering.\nGuide Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, orchestration and automation patterns.\nHelp establish reusable platform standards, blueprints, service patterns and architecture decision records.\nSupport API-driven service consumption and integration with the Hybrid Multi-Cloud Internal Developer Portal and service catalogue.\nGuide integration with the client’s ServiceNow, CMDB/CSDM, IAM/PAM, security, observability and operational-management platforms.\nSupport consumption-based service design, metering, showback and FinOps capabilities for the Private Cloud.\nEnsure security, sovereignty, isolation, resilience, recoverability and observability are embedded in platform design rather than added afterwards.\nWork closely with security architects on Zero Trust, access integration, policy as code, encryption and key management, and confidential-compute requirements where applicable.\nGuide platform lifecycle, capacity, scalability, performance and resource-optimization decisions.\nReview and challenge Private Cloud engineering designs and major technical changes.\nSupport migration and workload-onboarding patterns between the existing Data Centre estate, Private Cloud and Public Cloud.\nSupport transition-to-run and operational-readiness activities, ensuring designs are supportable, observable, recoverable and appropriately documented.\nIdentify opportunities for simplification, standardization, automation and reduction of technical debt.\nHelp maintain a technology roadmap that supports the client’s longer-term Hybrid Multi-Cloud direction while keeping the immediate Phase 0/1 delivery practical and achievable.\nThe technology environment you will work with\nThe environment includes:\nRed Hat OpenShift.\nKubernetes and container platforms.\nVirtual machines and virtualization.\nVMware/VMware Cloud Foundation knowledge for existing-estate integration and migration.\nCisco UCS / FlexPod environment.\nNetApp AFF storage.\nRubrik backup and recovery.\nSoftware-defined infrastructure.\nPrivate Cloud networking and Cisco ACI integration.\nTerraform, Ansible and related automation.\nInfrastructure as Code and GitOps.\nInternal Developer Portal and API-driven self-service.\nService catalogue and platform engineering.\nServiceNow and CMDB/CSDM integration.\nLogicMonitor and observability integration.\nFinOps, consumption metering and showback.\nSecurity, IAM/PAM, and policy integration.\nBackup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience.\nHybrid Cloud integration.\nWe are not expecting you to configure every component yourself.\nWe are expecting you to understand the full platform deeply enough to identify design consequences, challenge engineering decisions, manage dependencies, and ensure the individual components operate as one Private Cloud service.\nWhat we are looking for\nIdeally, you bring:\nSignificant experience as a Private Cloud Architect, Platform Architect, Enterprise Architect or Principal Architect.\nStrong architecture experience with Red Hat OpenShift in large enterprise environments.\nStrong Kubernetes and container-platform architecture experience.\nGood understanding of enterprise virtualization and VMware environments, particularly in brownfield transformation and migration scenarios.\nExperience designing integrated Private Cloud platforms covering compute, storage, backup and network services.\nStrong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and GitOps.\nUnderstanding of modern platform-engineering and Internal Developer Platform concepts.\nExperience designing API-driven service catalogues and automated provisioning models.\nStrong knowledge of availability, resilience, backup, disaster recovery, and cyber-recovery design.\nStrong understanding of security architecture integration, identity, segmentation and policy enforcement.\nUnderstanding of FinOps, consumption metering, showback and capacity optimization for private infrastructure.\nExperience integrating cloud platforms with enterprise ITSM, CMDB, observability and operational processes.\nExperience with large-scale, business-critical and security-sensitive enterprise environments.\nStrong understanding of Hybrid Cloud architecture.\nExperience operating within formal architecture-governance and co-create models.\nExcellent customer-facing and stakeholder-management capabilities.\nThe confidence to challenge decisions constructively and explain complex architecture choices clearly.\nWhat will make you successful\nSuccess
