Across the industries we support - from Automotive and Industrial Automation to Smart Devices and IoT - we transform reliable embedded technology into a foundation for innovative, dependable products.\nAs a System Integration Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration, testing and validation of complex embedded automotive systems. You will work closely with System Engineering, Software Development and Integration teams, translating system requirements and architecture into effective test scenarios, executing tests on HIL environments and contributing to test automation.\nThe role requires previous hands-on experience in embedded systems testing, system integration or automotive validation, ideally with dSPACE, IBM Rhapsody and automotive communication protocols.\nLocation: Craiova, Romania - minimum 80% on-site (requiered)\nWhat you'll be doing\nAnalyze and understand system requirements, system architecture and functional models, including models defined in IBM Rhapsody.\nDerive test specifications, test scenarios and test cases based on system requirements and architecture.\nDevelop and maintain automated test cases using dSPACE AutomationDesk.\nExecute and monitor tests using dSPACE AutomationDesk / ControlDesk and HIL environments.\nPerform automated, manual and exploratory testing, including basic vehicle-level checks such as smoke tests.\nAnalyze system behavior and identify appropriate test boundaries, interfaces and coverage.\nAnalyze test results, investigate deviations and report defects using ALM and requirements management tools such as DOORS NextGen and EWM.\nSet up, configure and maintain HIL test environments, including HW/SW simulations.\nConnect and configure ECUs, restbus simulations, measurement devices and test benches.\nPerform measurements and collect technical evidence using oscilloscopes, signal traces, logs and other instrumentation.\nSupport root-cause analysis by correlating test results, communication signals and system behavior.\nCollaborate within Agile development teams, providing testing input during sprint planning, reviews and other development activities.\nWork closely with internal and external project teams to ensure efficient integration and high-quality delivery.\nProvide on-site testing and integration support when required.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, test coverage and automation.\nWhat you'll bring along\nPrevious professional experience in System Testing, System Integration, Verification & Validation or Embedded Software Testing, preferably within the automotive industry.\nGood understanding of electronics, embedded systems and automotive ECUs.\nHands-on experience with HIL testing and system-level validation.\nExperience with dSPACE AutomationDesk and/or ControlDesk is highly desirable.\nExperience with IBM Rhapsody, system modeling and interpretation of system architecture diagrams is considered a strong advantage.\nGood understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet and/or FlexRay.\nExperience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.\nProgramming or scripting experience with Python, C and/or C++.\nExperience with requirements management and ALM tools, preferably DOORS NextGen and EWM.\nAbility to understand system requirements and translate them into structured and traceable test cases.\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\nISTQB certification is considered an advantage.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a structured approach to identifying and investigating system-level issues.\nProactive and solution-oriented mindset, with an interest in continuously improving testing processes and automation.\nGood communication and collaboration skills.\nGood command of English.\n\nDocument\n\nWhat’s in it for you\nNew beginnings can be a challenge.
