The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related virtualization technologies, along with exposure to cloud and data center infrastructure.\nThis role involves managing complex virtualization environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and contributing to infrastructure modernization initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nVirtualization Infrastructure Management\nDesign, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter Server).\nAdminister and maintain clusters, resource pools, HA, DRS, and vMotion.\nManage VM provisioning, templates, snapshots, and lifecycle management.\nPerform host upgrades, patching, and firmware updates.\nHigh Availability & Disaster Recovery\nConfigure and manage VMware HA, DRS, FT.\nImplement and manage Site Recovery Manager (SRM) (if applicable).\nParticipate in disaster recovery planning and testing.\nStorage & Networking\nConfigure and manage VMFS, NFS, vSAN (preferred).\nWork with SAN/NAS storage environments.\nConfigure virtual networking (vDS, VLANs, NSX - preferred).\nCollaborate with network and storage teams for performance optimization.\nPerformance & Capacity Management\nMonitor system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.\nPerform capacity planning and resource optimization.\nMaintain documentation for infrastructure and processes.\nSecurity & Compliance\nImplement VMware security best practices.\nManage RBAC, hardening guidelines, and patch management.\nSupport audit and compliance requirements.\nAutomation & Modernization\nExperience with PowerCLI scripting for automation.\nExposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible - preferred).\nSupport hybrid cloud integration (VMware Cloud, Azure/AWS).\nKnowledge of container platforms (Tanzu, Kubernetes - preferred).\nSupport & Troubleshooting\nProvide L2/L3 support for virtualization issues.\nPerform root cause analysis and incident resolution.\nParticipate in on-call rotation (if applicable).\nRequired Skills & Experience\n5-10+ years of experience in VMware administration.\nStrong hands-on experience with:VMware vSphere (6.x / 7.x / 8.x)\nESXi host management\nvCenter Server\nHA, DRS, vMotion\n\nExperience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS, vSAN preferred).\nGood understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs).\nExperience in patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nExperience with Windows/Linux VM environments.\nPreferred Skills\nVMware certifications (VCP-DCV / VCAP preferred).\nExperience with VMware NSX.\nExperience with VMware SRM.\nCloud exposure (Azure VMware Solution / VMware on AWS).\nAutomation using PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform.\nKnowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).\nExperience with monitoring tools (vRealize Operations, etc.).\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
