This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, enabling the Principal Advisor to influence technology direction, drive innovation, and deliver business value across multiple clients and organizations.\nThe Principal Advisor serves as the highest level of technical escalation and trusted advisor for both customers and internal stakeholders. Candidates must demonstrate advanced leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to guide large-scale transformation initiatives while mentoring senior engineers and consultants. The ability to operate effectively in highly complex and ambiguous environments is essential.\nResponsibilities\nAct as the highest level technical escalation point for complex support and engineering activities.\nProvide strategic technical leadership across multiple accounts, programs, and initiatives.\nDefine and drive architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for VDI and Application Delivery platforms.\nLead the design, implementation, and modernization of large-scale enterprise virtualization and digital workspace solutions.\nServe as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, customers, account teams, and technology partners.\nEstablish long-term roadmap strategies for Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware, Windows 365, and related technologies.\nLead technical assessments, solution reviews, risk evaluations, and architecture governance activities.\nDrive innovation through automation, AI-enabled operations, self-service capabilities, and operational optimization initiatives.\nCollaborate with leadership teams to align technology strategies with business objectives.\nMentor senior engineers and advisors while fostering technical growth across the practice.\nDevelop and maintain enterprise reference architectures, solution patterns, and technical standards.\nLead critical incident management activities and provide executive-level communications during major service outages.\nIdentify emerging technologies, assess business value, and recommend adoption strategies.\nSupport pre-sales activities, solution development, proposals, and customer presentations.\nDrive operational excellence by improving service quality, stability, security, and performance.\nFacilitate knowledge sharing and establish a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of large and complex transformation programs.\nEnsure compliance with Change Management, Security, Governance, and ITIL processes.\nParticipate in executive reviews, architecture boards, and strategic planning sessions.\nProvide thought leadership and represent the organization in customer-facing and industry engagements.\nRequired Skills\n10+ years of IT infrastructure engineering, architecture, or technical consulting experience.\n10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise virtualization and end-user computing solutions\nExpert-level knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, and related Citrix technologies (CCP/CCE certifications highly preferred).\n7+ years of experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and cloud-native EUC platforms.\nProven experience defining enterprise architecture strategies and technology roadmaps.\nAdvanced expertise with VMware vSphere, Citrix Hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.\nStrong knowledge of Azure, AWS, and enterprise cloud adoption frameworks.\nDeep understanding of enterprise networking, security, identity management, Zero Trust concepts, TCP/IP, SAN, NAS, and datacenter operations.\nExpert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Profile Management, and endpoint management solutions.\nExtensive experience with automation technologies including PowerShell, Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Azure Automation, or equivalent tools.\nDemonstrated success leading large-scale infrastructure transformation and migration projects.\nProven ability to provide executive-level technical guidance and customer-facing leadership.\nStrong consulting, architecture, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience establishing technical governance, operational standards, and engineering best practices.\nDemonstrated ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and organizations.\nStrong financial and business acumen with the ability to align technology decisions to business outcomes.\nExcellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.\nExceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.\nAdvanced cloud certifications preferred (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, VMware VCP/VCAP, Citrix CCE).\nNice to have: Windows 365, AWS WorkSpaces, Nerdio, IGEL, Omnissa Horizon, ControlUp, Liquidware, Azure Landing Zones, Infrastructure as Code, AI Operations (AIOps).\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
