The ideal candidate should have experience validating complex data pipelines, source-to-target transformations, and enterprise data warehouse solutions.\nThe role will collaborate with Data Engineers, ETL Developers, Business Analysts, and application teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and reliability of data across enterprise systems.\nDay to Day Job Duties\nPerform end-to-end Database and ETL testing across source and target systems.\nValidate ETL/ELT pipelines, transformation logic, mappings, and business rules.\nDevelop complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation.\nPerform source-to-target data validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.\nValidate large-volume data loads, batch processes, and scheduled ETL jobs.\nPerform database testing including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and data integrity.\nValidate data transformation rules, aggregations, calculations, and business logic.\nPerform data quality testing, including completeness, uniqueness, accuracy, referential integrity, and consistency checks.\nDevelop and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and regression suites.\nIdentify data discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and work with Data Engineers/ETL Developers to resolve defects.\nPerform backend validation for reports and downstream applications.\nTrack and manage defects using Jira or similar tools.\nSupport SIT, regression testing, UAT, and production validation.\nPrepare test execution reports, defect reports, traceability matrices, and quality metrics.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, requirement reviews, and release activities.\nBasic Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in Database QA, ETL Testing, and Data Validation.\n5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, complex queries, database testing, and data reconciliation.\n4+ years of experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines, source-to-target mappings, and data transformations.\n3+ years of experience with data warehouse testing, data quality validation, and large-volume data processing.\nCore Technical Skills\nDatabase Testing: SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Data Validation\nDatabases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar\nETL Testing: Source-to-Target Validation, Transformation Testing, Reconciliation\nETL Tools: Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS or similar\nData Warehouse: Dimensional Models, Fact/Dimension Tables, Data Marts\nTesting: SIT, Regression, Integration, UAT Support\nDefect Management: Jira, Azure DevOps or similar\nMethodologies: Agile, Scrum, SDLC, STLC\nNice to Have\nExperience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.\nExperience with cloud ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Databricks.\nKnowledge of Python for data validation and test automation.\nExperience automating ETL and database testing.\nKnowledge of data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, SCD, and CDC.\nExperience validating batch and real-time/streaming data pipelines.\nUnderstanding of data quality, lineage, governance, and metadata management.\nExperience working with large and complex datasets.\nExperience with CI/CD and automated data testing.\nExperience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or other enterprise environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
