The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating Salesforce business processes, preparing comprehensive test scenarios, executing test cases, and ensuring high-quality application releases.\nThe candidate should possess strong knowledge of Salesforce platform functionality, test planning, defect management, data validation, and Agile testing practices. The role will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, Salesforce Administrators, and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of quality Salesforce solutions.\nDay to Day Job Duties\nAnalyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs to identify test scenarios and test coverage.\nPrepare and maintain detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.\nPerform functional testing of Salesforce applications across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce solutions.\nValidate Salesforce functionality including standard and custom objects, fields, relationships, Lightning pages, Lightning Web Components, Flows, validation rules, approval processes, record types, profiles, permission sets, and sharing models.\nExecute functional, regression, smoke, integration, system, and end-to-end testing activities.\nValidate business processes spanning Salesforce and integrated external applications.\nPerform API and integration testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent tools when required.\nValidate data migration, data transformation, data integrity, and system reconciliation activities.\nExecute positive, negative, boundary, and exception test scenarios.\nLog, track, and manage defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.\nPerform defect verification, retesting, and regression testing following defect resolution.\nParticipate in defect triage meetings and collaborate with development and business teams for issue resolution.\nSupport SIT, UAT, release validation, production smoke testing, and post-deployment verification.\nMaintain requirement-to-test-case traceability and testing documentation.\nParticipate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.\nProvide regular updates on test execution status, defect metrics, risks, and quality indicators to stakeholders.\nBasic Qualifications\n2-4+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing and Quality Assurance.\n2+ years of hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications.\nStrong understanding of Salesforce platform concepts including standard and custom objects, Lightning Experience, Flows, validation rules, profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing models.\nExperience in functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.\nExperience creating detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test execution documentation from business requirements and user stories.\nExperience with defect lifecycle management and defect tracking tools.\nBasic understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration testing concepts.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.\nStrong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nCore Technical Skills\nSalesforce Testing: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud\nFunctional Testing: Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, System & End-to-End Testing\nSalesforce Validation: Standard & Custom Objects, Lightning Pages, LWC, Flows, Validation Rules, Approval Processes\nSecurity Testing: Profiles, Permission Sets, Roles, Sharing & Access Controls\nAPI Testing: REST, SOAP, Postman, SoapUI\nData Validation: Salesforce Reports, SOQL, Data Loader, Data Reconciliation\nDefect Management: Defect Logging, Tracking, Root Cause Validation\nTesting Documentation: Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scenarios, RTM, Test Execution Reports\nTools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Salesforce Test Tools\nMethodologies: Agile, Scrum, SDLC\nNice to Have\nExperience with Salesforce integrations and middleware testing.\nExperience in data migration, conversion, and reconciliation testing.\nKnowledge of accessibility, security, and performance testing principles.\nExperience working on enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.\nSalesforce Administrator or related Salesforce certification.\nFamiliarity with SOQL and Salesforce reporting capabilities.\nExposure to API-based integrations and third-party systems.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Experience Profile\n2-4+ years of QA and Manual Testing experience.\nMinimum 2+ years of Salesforce testing experience.\nStrong understanding of Salesforce business processes and platform functionality.\nExperience preparing and executing detailed test scenarios and test cases.\nExperience with data validation, integration testing, and defect management.\nFamiliarity with Salesforce reports, SOQL, and data migration testing.\nExperience working in Agile delivery environments.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
