This role will be responsible for designing, testing, validating, and deploying operating system patches and platform enhancements while ensuring compliance, security, and operational stability across a complex infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Unix administration experience along with exposure to automation and patch management technologies.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, test, and certify operating system patching solutions and platform enhancements.\nDevelop and maintain patch catalogs, deployment processes, and patch governance standards.\nSupport OS patch engineering activities across Unix/Linux server environments.\nIntegrate and enhance patch management tools and automation capabilities.\nValidate, test, and release patches to ensure production readiness and compliance with organizational standards.\nTroubleshoot patch deployment issues and coordinate remediation activities.\nCollaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to maintain platform health and stability.\nEnsure adherence to security, audit, and regulatory requirements through timely patch execution.\nContribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of Unix/Linux administration or engineering experience.\nStrong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems, system maintenance, and patch management.\nExperience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.\nKnowledge of scripting and automation tools such as Shell, Python, or Ansible.\nExperience with patch deployment, testing, validation, and release processes.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting financial services or highly regulated environments.\nFamiliarity with security compliance standards and vulnerability remediation processes.\nExperience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.\nKnowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Solaris, AIX, or other Unix variants.\nAbout NTT DATA\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
