The ideal candidate should have practical experience working across datacenter environments, server rooms, and remote site locations, and should be capable of supporting both day-to-day physical infrastructure activities and transition-related information gathering from incumbent teams across all sites and datacenters.\nThis role requires someone who is comfortable in a field/onsite support model, has strong understanding of rack-and-stack activities, cabling, hardware handling, inventory validation, asset verification, and remote hands support, and can also assist in documenting existing site infrastructure, operational processes, dependencies, and handover details as part of a transition or takeover program.\nThe place of work is our client site: Holýšov (near Pilsen)\nKey Responsibilities\nDatacenter Smart Hands Support\nProvide onsite Smart Hands support for physical datacenter and site infrastructure activities.\n\nPerform rack and stack of servers, storage, network, and related hardware components.\n\nHandle cabling, patching, labeling, hardware installation, de-installation, and relocation activities.\n\nSupport power cycling, device reboot, physical health checks, andLED /console-based diagnostics.\n\nAssistin hardware replacement activities such as disks, memory, power supplies, NICs, and other field-replaceable units.\n\nCoordinate with remote engineering teams for troubleshooting and execution of physical tasks inside thedatacenter.\n\nSupport hands and eyes activities for network, server, storage, and backup infrastructure.\n\nInstall and replace Field Replaceable Units (FRUs), including:Power supplies, Fan trays, Line cards, Supervisor modules, Interface cards, SSDs and memory modules\n\nInstall and replace SFP, SFP+, QSFP, and other transceiver modules.\n\nVerify hardware serial numbers, model numbers, and asset tags.\n\nInstall, replace, and organize copper and fiber optic patch cables.\n\nPerform cable tracing and cable verification.\n\nLabel cables, ports, patch panels, and network equipment.\n\nVerify rack unit (RU) allocation.\n\nInstall rack rails, mounting brackets, and blanking panels.\n\nConnect to devices using console cables whenrequired.\n\nReplace failed hardware under NOC guidance.\n\nVerify interface status, link LEDs, and physical connectivity.\n\nSupport planned maintenance and migration activities.\n\nSite and Datacenter Information Gathering\nWork closely with the incumbent team to gather andvalidatedetailed information for all sites, server rooms, and datacenters in scope.\n\nCapture details related to:\n\n- Site and datacenter locations\n- Rack layouts and floor plans\n- Device inventory and asset details\n- Power connections and redundancy details\n- Network patching and cabling information\n- ISP / WAN / LAN connectivity details\n- Access procedures and security requirements\n- Existing operational processes and support contacts\n- Hardware lifecycle and warranty information\nAssistin building a site-wise/datacenter-wise inventory and transition repository.\n\nVerify physical assets against available documentation andidentifymismatches, gaps, and risks.\n\nSupport collection of informationrequiredfor transition, KT, operational readiness, and support planning.\n\nTransition & Incumbent Coordination\nParticipate in transition workshops, site surveys, and incumbent handover sessions.\n\nDocument current-state infrastructure and operational procedures from the incumbent team.\n\nWork with tower leads and service delivery teams to ensure all physical site information is collected accurately.\n\nHighlight risks, missing data, unsupported hardware, access gaps, and operational dependencies during takeover.\n\nSupport due diligence and discovery activities for new sites anddatacenteronboarding.\n\nOperations & Governance\nMaintainaccuraterecords for assets, cabling, rack positioning, hardware movement, site readiness, and access controls.\n\nEnsure all work is performed in line with datacenter safety, security, and change management procedures.\n\nSupportincident, servicerequest, IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Dispose), and break-fix activities.\n\nCoordinate with OEM / vendor engineers for onsite hardware support and escortassistanceifrequired.\n\nCreate andmaintainsite documentation, checklists, SOPs, handover notes, and audit-ready records.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nMandatory Skills\nHands-on experience in physical datacenter / site support / Smart Hands operations\n\nStrong understanding of:\n\n- Rack and stack operations\n- Structured cabling and patching\n- Server, network, and storage hardware handling\n- Inventory and asset verification\n- Onsite troubleshooting and remote hands support\nExperience working in datacenter environments, server rooms, and enterprise sites\n\nAbility to gather,validate, and document infrastructure details from incumbent teams\n\nFamiliarity with hardware labeling, rack elevation documentation, and physical asset management\n\nBasic understanding of network devices, servers, storage systems, UPS/power layouts, and connectivity\n\nKnowledge of datacenter access, safety, security, and change procedures\n\nGood communicationskills for coordinating with remote teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders\n\nAbility to travel to sites/datacenters asrequired\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in transition / takeover projects\n\nExposure to CMDB, asset management tools, ticketing tools, and documentation repositories\n\nBasic knowledge of Windows/Linux server hardware environments\n\nFamiliarity with OEM hardware such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, NetApp, EMC, etc.\n\nUnderstanding of ITIL-based support processes\n\nExperience in site surveys, floor validation, and infrastructure audits\n\nExperience Required\n3+ to 7+ years of relevant experience in Smart Hands / Datacenter Support / Field Infrastructure Support\n\nExperience in handling multiple sites or distributed datacenter environments\n\nPrior exposure to knowledge transition, incumbent handover, or discovery activities is highly preferred\n\nEducational Qualifications\nDiploma /Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field\n\nRelevant certifications in hardware, datacenter operations, or infrastructure
