application development teams.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nCloud Migration: take a significant part of the planned migration of our database environment from Oracle to Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL\nDevelop and implement migration strategies, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime\nEmploy a range of techniques to analyze problems and evaluate multiple solutions against engineering, business & strategic criteria\nCollaborate to achieve consensus on topics and issues and contribute to communities\nIdentify and resolve barriers to business deliveries implementing solutions which iteratively deliver value\nDesign solutions using common design patterns with a range of design tools & techniques\nConduct peer reviews to ensure designs are fit for purpose, extensible & re-usable\nDeliver end-to-end first-class engineering solutions across a range of technology platforms\nImprove delivery standards, working practices, tools & solutions and driving adoption of automation tools\nEnsure stable and reliable production environments and high-quality service delivery to customers\nInvestigate production incidents & lead remediation, analyze services & components\nDesign & build solutions which are secure & controlled\nInvestigate & report on issues and potential risk events within designs and solutions\nWhat We’re Looking For\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field\nAt least 5 years of data engineering experience in a similar role \nExcellent technical skills in PostgreSQL\nStrong understanding of relational databases\nAbility to design and develop application/components including packages, store procedures, functions, triggers\nExperience in working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL\nProficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting\nProficiency in data modelling and database design\nOpen to learn Google Cloud technologies\nData analysis general skills\nAnalytical thinker experienced in a range of problem-solving techniques & approaches\nTeam player who shares and collaborates, a keen listener and quick learner\nCommunicates clearly and influences using coherent, fact and benefit-based proposals\nEnables
