Make this the place where you belong, learn, and build your network.\nWe are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to support SAP ABAP, database, operating system, and virtual infrastructure environments. The role combines SAP Basis operations, technical troubleshooting, database activities, server administration, and cloud and virtualization support. You will work with international teams, including colleagues in China and other SAP delivery locations.\nThis position follows a two-shift schedule covering 08:00-16:00 and 16:00-00:00 CET. Candidates must be willing and able to work according to the agreed shift rotation.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nPerform SAP ABAP system health and performance checks.\nStart and stop SAP ABAP systems and their associated databases.\nMonitor system availability, stability, capacity, and performance.\nPerform detailed technical log analysis, including SAP developer traces such as dev_w0.\nInvestigate SAP system errors and identify appropriate corrective actions.\nSupport SAP license updates and related administration activities.\nPerform or support database log and data-related upgrades and maintenance activities.\nApply pragmatic troubleshooting methods to resolve operational issues efficiently.\nDocument technical findings, actions, and resolution details.\nCoordinate incident resolution with SAP, database, server, and infrastructure teams.\nSupport SAP environments running on SAP HANA, SAP MaxDB, and SAP ASE/Sybase databases.\nPerform basic database monitoring, start and stop activities, and operational checks.\nAnalyze database logs and support the resolution of database-related incidents.\nMonitor database log and data utilization and coordinate the necessary maintenance activities.\nCollaborate with database specialists when incidents require advanced investigation or escalation.\nPerform basic operational activities for SAP Fiori environments.\nSupport initial troubleshooting of Fiori-related availability and connectivity issues.\nApply basic knowledge of non-ABAP systems when monitoring or troubleshooting the SAP landscape.\nCoordinate with the appropriate resolver teams for issues requiring specialist intervention.\nSupport SAP systems running on Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.\nPerform intermediate-level server checks and operating-system troubleshooting.\nSupport VMware environments using VMware Cloud Director.\nPerform operational VMware activities, including creating, splitting, and merging vApps and creating CEs.\nApply basic Google Cloud Platform knowledge when supporting cloud-hosted SAP environments.\nAnalyze dependencies across SAP, database, operating system, virtualization, and cloud layers.\nProcess incidents, service requests, and changes using ServiceNow.\nMonitor tickets and provide timely and accurate status updates.\nUse Microsoft Office 365 tools for communication, reporting, and operational documentation.\nUse Dynatrace, where applicable, to support monitoring, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.\nFollow the agreed incident, escalation, change, and shift-handover processes.\nMaintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.\nWork closely with geographically distributed SAP and internal delivery teams, including colleagues based in China.\nParticipate in technical discussions, handovers, and troubleshooting sessions across locations and time zones.\nCommunicate technical status, service impact, and resolution progress clearly.\nCollaborate effectively with internal teams, SAP representatives, and customer stakeholders.\nWhat you’ll bring along\nHands-on SAP Basis administration and operational support experience.\nExperience performing SAP ABAP system health and performance checks.\nStrong troubleshooting skills and experience analyzing SAP system logs and developer traces.\nOperational knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP MaxDB, and SAP ASE/Sybase databases.\nExperience starting and stopping SAP application and database systems.\nKnowledge of SAP license administration and database log and data maintenance.\nBasic knowledge of SAP Fiori and non-ABAP systems.\nIntermediate knowledge of Windows Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.\nIntermediate VMware knowledge, preferably including VMware Cloud Director and vApp administration.\nAbility to understand and respond to German-language customer tickets, including with the support of translation tools.\nBasic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.\nExperience working with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office 365.\nPragmatic working style and strong problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to collaborate effectively in international and geographically distributed teams.\nWillingness and flexibility to work in shifts covering 08:00-16:00 and 16:00-00:00 CET.\nNice to have: basic written
