You are the ‘face’ of our business, not just our delivery driver.\nIt’s all about making a good impression with your appearance, manner and the look of your vehicle.\nEnsuring goods are delivered in a first-class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a really positive impression of you and our business.\nResponsibilities:\nDrive company vehicles and operate company equipment in a safe and proper fashion and in accordance with company policies, procedures and legislation.\n\nTo carry out vehicle, load and auxiliary equipment checks prior to operation of any vehicle and report any defects immediately.\n\nTo deliver goods to customer premises across the UK ensuring service levels are maintained.\n\nTo meet all special instructions as requested by transport office.\n\nEnsure that all documentation is completed and signed as required.\n\nOn return to your base / at the end of shift report to the traffic office for a full debrief.\n\nUndertake a driving skills assessment at any time as requested.\n\nComply with the vehicle security and standing instructions at all times.\n\nWhere company uniform and personal protective equipment has been issued they must be worn at all times when on duty.\n\nTo ensure all product is loaded on the vehicle in a safe, evenly distributed manner and secured appropriately for travel on the public highway in line with current legislative and guidance requirements\n\nMaintain the cleanliness of the driving cab & condition of the vehicle you are allocated.\n\nReport any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.\n\nAttend essential training in order to carry out the driver role.\n\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy.\n\nHold & Maintain the necessary driving licence & vocational entitlement relating to your role & in the event of any changes to that status to notify the Transport Manager immediately.\n\nHigh levels of Health and Safety standards.\n\nRequirements:\nCurrent CPC.\n\nPossess Cat C (Class 2) driving Licence.\n\nDigital Tachocard and an up-to-date Drivers Qualification Card and have a full understanding of tachograph legislation.\n\nExcellent verbal communication.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers.\n\nDiligent attention to detail.\n\nAbility to work under pressure\n\nFlexibility to cover working hours\n\nExperience of working in a customer facing role.\n\nNumerate and literate.\n\nThere is Manual work involved in this role;\nLoading and unloading of goods from vehicles.\n\nStacking of empty pallets.\n\nCoupling and uncoupling of trailers\n\nOpening and closing of vehicle curtains\n\nBenefits and Working Hours:\n£14.25 per hour plus additional allowances\n\n50 hour average week, nights out included in this role\n\n25 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays\n\nSave as you earn Sharesave Scheme\n\nCycle to work scheme\n\nContributory pension scheme - matched up to 8%\n\nLife assurance (linked to pension scheme membership)\n\nFree flu vouchers\n\nVarious health & wellbeing initiatives including complimentary occupational health on-site physiotherapy and counselling services\n\nStaff discount on all Genuit Group products\n\nFree on-site parking\n\nHere at the Genuit Group we recognise and develop the contribution our people make to the Group’s success and are committed to attracting talent from the widest pool.
