This is a varied hands-on role requiring a practical individual who can carry out general building maintenance tasks, assist engineering and production teams, and support continuous improvement of the site environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nActivities:\nCarry out routine and reactive building maintenance activities across the site.\nComplete basic joinery, plumbing, decorating, and repair work.\nRepair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, fittings, and furniture.\nCarry out painting and cosmetic improvements as required.\nRepair and maintain washroom facilities including toilets and associated fixtures.\nIdentify and report any building defects, hazards, or maintenance concerns.\nEngineering and Maintenance Support\nActivities:\nAssist Maintenance Engineers with planned and reactive maintenance activities.\nSupport equipment installation, repairs, and general workshop tasks.\nPrepare tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance activities.\nHelp maintain a clean, organised, and safe maintenance workshop environment.\nAssist with preventative maintenance activities when required.\nProduction and Machine Support\nActivities:\nAssist machine setters during tooling and product changeovers.\nSupport machine tool changes and mechanical adjustment activities where appropriate.\nAssist with the movement, setup, and replacement of machine components.\nDevelop knowledge of manufacturing equipment to provide practical support when required.\nMaterials Handling and Site Logistics\nActivities:\nOperate forklifts and mobile access equipment (including cherry pickers) in accordance with training and site procedures.\nTransport materials, equipment, and spare parts around the site.\nCollect parts, consumables, and supplies from external suppliers when required.\nSupport loading, unloading, and storage activities.\nHealth, Safety and Compliance\nActivities:\nWork safely at all times and comply with company health and safety procedures.\nFollow safe systems of work for working at height and equipment operation.\nWear and maintain appropriate PPE.\nReport hazards, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.\nParticipate in safety inspections and improvement initiatives.\nContinuous Improvement and Teamwork\nActivities:\nSupport continuous improvement projects across the site.\nSuggest practical solutions to maintenance and facility issues.\nWork collaboratively with engineering, production, and facilities teams.\nDemonstrate flexibility by undertaking a wide range of operational tasks.\nMaintain a positive and customer-focused approach when supporting colleagues.\nEssential Criteria\nQualifications\nValid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.\nExperience\nPractical hands-on approach with experience in general maintenance activities.\nExperience supporting engineering or production teams.\nExperience within a manufacturing, facilities, construction, or maintenance environment.\nSkills & Knowledge\nAbility to undertake a broad range of building maintenance tasks.\nComfortable working at height following appropriate training.\nGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritise work.\nBehaviours\nAbility to demonstrate a commitment to Genuit Group Trademark Behaviours\nTeam player with a positive can-do attitude\nProactive and flexible approach\nFlexible attitude and willingness to support different departments.\nBusiness Requirements\nMust have a Valid UK Driving Licence\nHere at the Genuit Group we recognise and develop the contribution our people make to the Group’s success and are committed to attracting talent from the widest pool.
