AML Ops - is responsible for protecting Nu against criminal activities and helping stop the laundering of ‘dirty’ money into the Mexican economy, complying with the necessary regulations, and ensuring the continuity of our business.\nWhat does a Regulatory Solutions analyst for AML Ops do…\nAnalyze AML Alerts, financial transactions, accounts, and data from the alerts generated by the AML transaction monitoring system, to identify suspicious situations and provide detailed recommendations (Report to UIF, Cancel, etc.)\n\nPrepare all the investigation files to escalate it to the AML Forum (Comité de Comunicación y Control).\n\nStrengthen the AML Ops team to be aligned with the responsibilities we have as a financial institution.\n\nSophisticated reporting to immediately inform money-laundering or terrorism financing activity to the relevant authorities (SHCP, CNBV, UIF, etc.).\n\nPerform quality reviews, evaluate process deficiencies, analyze control measures, enhance reporting capabilities and recommend corrective actions while satisfying regulatory requirements.\n\nConduct thorough investigations in order to detect risky customers by evaluating the customers’ risk profiles and processing them accordingly (enhanced due diligence, customer due diligence, etc.).\n\nProvide advice on sanctions and other screening processes such as KYC.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional areas (including legal, compliance, and risk management, among others) to minimize money-laundering risks to the business\n\nSupport the discard operation in binding lists.\n\nApply FIU typologies.\n\nInvolvement in the implementation of the regulatory framework that will contribute to Nu Mexico's growth plan.\n\nStay current with AML/FT laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure our practices remain compliant.\n\nQualifications:\nYou are detail-oriented, diligent, organized and enjoy operational activities.\n\nYou have excellent reporting skills, particularly for regulatory reporting.\n\nYou are a proactive, autonomous person and have an interest in owning your operational routines and creating processes and improving them, but at the same time, understand that there are bureaucracies in the regulatory activities that need to be followed.\n\nYou are able to meet deadlines and to be flexible to adapt to changing conditions.\n\nYou can communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively.\n\nYou feel good to be constantly challenged to learn and do more.\n\nYou are good with oral and written communication in Spanish and/or English.\n\nYou believe in a more just and ethical society and Nubank's values and culture.\n\nYou have a strong sense of integrity and responsibility handling sensitive information.\n\nYou understand that we can contribute within Nubank to the construction of this society, guaranteeing the application of all the rules and regulatory aspects inherent to the Client's Registration.\n\nYou can easily turn numbers into complex strategies, proposals and effective action plans.\n\nIt will be a differential if you..\nHave a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Administration, Finance, Economic Sciences or related;\n\nHave CNBV certification is a plus, or strong experience in AML Regulations;\n\nHave previous experience in monitoring transactional AML alerts for the different banking products (Credit Card, Savings, Remittances, Investments, etc.) and-or in compliance areas in processes related to AML;\n\nHave knowledge of sanctions and KYC processes related to AML;\n\nHave knowledge in sending the suspicious activity reports (SAR, ROI);\n\nHave autonomy to make decisions that impact customers and Nu based on AML policies;\n\nKnow the specific regulations of the area and have the responsibility to apply them in their routine;\n\nHave curiosity and willingness to learn;\n\nHave knowledge in Excel, Sheets, Looker, SQL and Python;\n\nHave Banking & Sofipo regulation knowledge;\n\nHave knowledge in CNBV regulation, freezing, unfreezing and transfer money;\n\nBenefits\nChance of earning equity at Nu\n\nExtended maternity and paternity leaves\n\nHealth and life insurance\n\nDental and Vision Insurance\n\nNuCare -
