We're starting with an approach that we believe can help the most people the fastest, and also allow us to learn as much about the brain as possible: developing a non-invasive, ultrasound-based device that can stimulate and image the brain at high resolution and depth. This is a vertically integrated effort building cutting-edge hardware, software, and research capabilities to create products that can benefit millions - and eventually billions - of people.\nTo succeed, we need to assemble world-class teams across everything we do. We hire people who are exceptional at their craft, believe hard things are worth doing, and execute relentlessly - people who expect the highest levels of both rigor and integrity from each other.\nAbout the role\nAs a mechanical engineer at Nudge, you will:\nDesign and build hardware to support a variety of company functions, such as device manufacturing, animal studies, and clinical trials.\n\nDevelop test systems that are precise, high throughput, and reliable\n\nOwn designs from concept through prototyping to deployment in clinical trials\n\nWork closely with electrical engineers, software engineers, ultrasound engineers, and clinical operators\n\nAbout you\nWe are looking for engineers of all levels but regardless of your career level, you should have:\nStrong engineering / physics first principles\n\nExceptional proficiency in CAD and rapid prototyping\n\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience\n\nDemonstrated history of exceptional technical contribution\n\nHigh integrity and strong professional judgement","description_format":"text","description_chars":1687,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T01:59:23Z"}],"liveness":{"score":21,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.374,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":41,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:20","stale_co","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/nudge-mechanical-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/nudge-mechanical-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T02:31:58Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3408,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1592,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
