Rowe Price, and other leading investors.\nAbout the Role\n The Controls team at Nuro is responsible for safely and smoothly executing Autonomy generated plans, across vehicle platforms and ODDs. We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join us in this impactful role, where you will collaborate with best-in-class engineers to tackle challenging problems and help advance the future of robotics to improve everyday lives.\nAbout the Work\n\nDevelop robust, production-grade control software following safety standards (ISO 26262).\nCollaborate closely with OEM engineers and other Nuro teams to define vehicle and controls SW requirements for integrating Nuro Driver™ into new vehicle platforms.\nAdapt Controls software stack to new vehicle platforms.\nConduct hands-on vehicle bring up, controls tuning, testing, and debugging for achieving vehicle performance, quality and drivability targets.\nAbout You\n\nMS in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, aerospace, robotics, or closely related fields with focus on Controls.\n3+ years of experience in development of L2 or higher level automated driving controls software and integration with vehicle platform(s).\nStrong fundamentals in vehicle dynamics and controls, including theory, application, and validation.\nExperience implementing classical and modern controls methods.\nStrong embedded C/C++ programming skills.\nSignificant hands-on controls development for L2+ or higher level Automated Driving systems.\nPassionate about solving real-world challenging autonomous driving problems.\nFast to learn and adapt to new problems.\nSelf-starter and good team player with strong drive and accountability.\nProven ability to collaborate within and across teams.\nEffective oral and written communication skill.\nBonus Points \n\nL4 automated driving system development experience.\nExperience developing high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models.\nExperience building learning based (ML) controllers.\nPowertrain and/or chassis controls experience.\nFunctional safety experience.\nAt Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $193,930 and $291,150 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
