Rowe Price, and other leading investors.\nAbout the Role\n\nBuild and evolve our automated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation framework used for ADAS/autonomous driving ECU and system testing.\nTranslate formal validation requirements into repeatable automated test cases covering nominal operation, fault handling, timing, communication integrity, and safety-related behavior.\nExecute and debug validation on HIL benches using vehicle network interfaces, embedded target access, fault injection, and system emulation.\nPartner with firmware, systems, and validation teams to define test coverage, investigate failures, and improve release readiness.\nSupport automated regression and release testing, including pre-test firmware deployment, orchestrated test execution, and structured result reporting.\nBuild/Maintain shared framework components as new vehicle platforms, ECU releases, and validation domains are added.\nAbout the Work\n\nPractical experience with HIL/bench hardware integration (power supplies, DAQ/I/O, cabling, and basic electrical debugging) and general vehicle or embedded electrical systems knowledge.\nExperience designing repeatable, safety-conscious test plans with deterministic setup/teardown and clear experimental boundaries.\nFamiliarity with vehicle electrical architecture, controlling mechanisms, and the integration process.\nAble to adapt quickly, think independently, and function effectively in a fast-paced start-up environment.\nStrong Python skills and hands-on experience building or maintaining automated test frameworks (pytest preferred).\nAbility to interpret wiring harness diagrams, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings in relation to vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet, etc) and their interaction with other automotive systems.\nStrong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, product, and other teams.\nAbout You\n\nBachelor or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or a related field (including ME, EE, CS, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace) or equivalent practical experience\n3 + years experience in data analysis and test scripting/automation experience (C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink).\n3+ years experience in Test planning and experimental design, especially designing for safety and repeatability.\nProficiency in Automation test frameworks.\nUnderstanding of autonomous driving vehicles, infrastructure, and operations.\nBonus Points \n\nUnderstanding of NI PXI based test systems or other commercial HIL platform experience and real-time bench automation.\nUnderstanding of systems engineering principles such as defining requirements and formal verification and validation\nExperience in hands-on troubleshooting at circuit board and module system levels, including systems integrated within a Vehicle network.\nRequirements-based validation workflows and formal test case management.\nCI/CD for hardware validation, structured reporting, and test artifact management.\nAt Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $132,300 and $198,450 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
