Our network extends to Beni, Tadu, and Faradje in the Oriental Province.\nABOUT THE ROLE?\n\nWe are seeking a Cloud Services Manager to oversee two critical pillars of our digital operations: Salesforce Ecosystem Management and Electrical Smart Metering Platforms. Other areas of responsibility include managing Google Workspace and our website, as well as additional tasks, depending on the needs.\nHow this role works:Our team operates on a Primary Owner / Deputy model. You will be the Primary Owner and you have to train the Deputy.\nKey Responsibilities\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nTrain the Deputy\n\nEstablish/train a team colleague (deputy) to take over temporarily (e.g. holidays) the responsibility of your role (Cloud Services Manager).\n\nTrain the data analyst\n\nWe will soon be hiring a new data analyst who will need to be trained.\n\nSystem Maintenance & Operational Health\n\nMaintain high availability, operational health, and monitoring for both cloud domains:\nSalesforce: Perform routine administration, environment cleanups, release management, user setups, object model and Apex maintenance.\n\nSmart Meter Platforms: Oversee and maintain platforms such as SteamaCo, SparkMeter, and upcoming grid management services.\n\nServe as the technical primary for both domains and support the deputy if needed.\n\nTechnical Support & Internal Enablement\n\nAct as the escalation point for internal users across business units regarding system issues, data anomalies, and access management.\n\nTroubleshoot complex technical tickets, data syncing errors, or API outages across both platforms.\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user training guides.\n\nSystem Development & Feature Enhancement\n\nSalesforce Development: Write, test, and deploy custom Apex code, triggers, batch jobs, and workflows/flows to automate business processes.\n\nSmart Meter Enhancements: Adopt system configuration to deal with increasing load, implement new vendor APIs/protocols, and optimize data collection workflows, add new sites.\n\nPartner with department heads to translate business requirements into functional cloud solutions and technical specifications.\n\nAll Candidates Must Have\nEducation & Experience\n\nYou hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Web and Mobile Development, Computer Engineering, Systems and Networks, or a related field\n\nExperience Level: 2-6+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise cloud platforms or SaaS ecosystems (Mid level).\n\nTechnical Depth in the following core areas:\n\nSalesforce: Proven experience in Salesforce Administration and custom Apex development (Apex triggers, classes, asynchronous processing, SOQL/SOSL).\n\nSmart Meter / IoT: Direct experience configuring and maintaining smart grid or utility platforms (e.g., SteamaCo, SparkMeter, or similar solutions) along with strong API integration background.\n\nWillingness to Cross-Train: Demonstrated ability to train and support colleagues.\n\nIntegration & Data: Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML data formats, and database management.\n\nIdeal Candidates Will Have\nTechnical Skills\n\nGood written communication skills in English and in French ;\n\nAbility to work remotely with little or no direct supervision\n\nCRM & Automation: Salesforce (platform, Apex, Flows)\n\nIoT & Utility Platforms: SteamaCo, SparkMeter, custom API connectors\n\nData & Integration: REST/SOAP APIs, SQL/SOQL\n\nPersonal Qualities\n\nAgile development mindset\n\nKnowledge of utility/energy sector technologies, IoT hardware integration, or telemetry data handling.\n\nScripting capability (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automating routine administrative tasks.\n\nLocation\nEast Africa RegionContact\nHOW TO APPLY\n\nIf you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV (PDF format, maximum 3 pages), a short cover letter (maximum 1 page)( all in English) explaining why you want to join NURU and why you are a strong fit.
