POSITION SUMMARY:The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) ComponentEngineering organization generates technical requirements and associated design parameters for the modular advanced light water reactor (ALWR) NSSS. Utilizing proven state-of-the-art methodologies,NSSS components are engineered to nuclear industry standards. The person in this position performs design and stress analyses of pressure vessels, reactor vessel internals, and/or primary equipment supportsin accordance with ASME BPVC Section III and applicable regulatory requirements. All work within the NSSS Component Engineeringorganization is completed under ASME NQA-1 quality assurance requirements and respective U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards and regulations.
