As a team, we are focused on maintaining high system reliability and availability.\nYou will report to the Support Manager, who provides guidance and support in ensuring seamless operations within the team.\nYour Role\nAs a Systems Reliability Engineer II you are the first line of defense for enterprise customers running critical infrastructure on Nutanix. You work independently on complex cases, communicate clearly under pressure, and actively make the team around you better.\nOwn cases end-to-end\nTake full responsibility for a queue of customer issues, from first contact through resolution, managing your own priorities by urgency and business impact, and keeping customers informed at every step.\n\nDiagnose and resolve independently\nWork through standard and moderately complex issues on your own, including storage, virtualization, and underlying system behavior. You read system logs, correlate events across a cluster, and document findings clearly.\n\nBe a reliable partner to customers\nAdapt your communication to the situation, set realistic timelines, and follow through on every commitment\n\nEscalate with precision\nWhen an issue needs to go up the chain, you bring a clear picture of what you've already tried, what the customer is experiencing, and the business impact\n\nLeave things better than you found them\nWrite up solutions so the next person doesn't start from scratch. Flag workflow gaps. Suggest improvements. Contribute to shared knowledge that raises the whole team's capability.\n\nOwn your development\nWith your manager's support, set your own learning goals, track them against the team's work, and actively build the technical depth needed for the next step in your career.\n\nWhat You Will Bring\nTypically 2+ years previous professional experience with a Bachelor's degree; no previous professional experience with a Master's degree.\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline.\n\nExpertise in Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Linux, and Cloud Technologies\n\nCustomer-facing experience and customer-first mindset\n\nFluent in English. Proficiency in one or more EU languages is a strong plus\n\nPassion for learning and staying updated on cloud technologies\n\nStrong troubleshooting and debugging skills\n\nCollaborative approach and ability to work with diverse teams\n\nAbility to provide excellent support experience to customers\n\nWork Arrangement\nHybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.\nThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 88,000 and USD $ 175,000 per year.\nHowever, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
