Packaging Material Procurement\nManage day-to-day procurement of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging materials, including PET/HDPE bottles, jars, caps, labels, induction wads, scoops, pouches, cartons and corrugated boxes.\nRaise and process purchase orders based on approved material requirements.\nEnsure timely procurement while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and purchase priorities.\n2. Vendor Management & Coordination\nCoordinate with existing vendors for quotations, order placements, delivery schedules and regular follow-ups.\nBuild and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure uninterrupted material supply.\nSupport price negotiations, payment terms and delivery timelines in coordination with the reporting manager.\nIdentify and evaluate potential vendors to develop alternative sourcing options.\nMonitor vendor performance against quality, pricing and delivery commitments.\n3. Inventory & Material Planning\nMonitor packaging material inventory and ensure timely replenishment.\nCoordinate with warehouse, production and contract manufacturing teams to assess material requirements.\nMaintain records of material consumption, stock availability, pending orders and expected deliveries.\nIdentify potential stock shortages and proactively highlight procurement risks.\nEnsure material availability in line with production and dispatch schedules.\n4. Quality & Specification Management\nEnsure all procured materials comply with approved specifications and quality requirements.\nCoordinate with the Quality Assurance team and vendors in case of material rejections or quality discrepancies.\nEnsure packaging materials meet approved dimensions, printing requirements and artwork specifications.\nCoordinate sample approvals before initiating bulk procurement.\nMaintain documentation of approved specifications and vendor quality records.\n5. Purchase Documentation & Reporting\nMaintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices and vendor details.\nTrack pending purchase orders and ensure timely closure of procurement requirements.\nCoordinate with Finance for invoice verification and payment-related queries.\nMaintain procurement trackers and prepare regular purchase and inventory reports.\nSkills & Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.\n1-3 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement or Packaging Material Sourcing.\nPrior experience in FMCG, Nutraceuticals, Pharmaceuticals, Food or Cosmetics will be preferred.\nGood understanding of packaging materials such as PET/HDPE bottles, jars, caps, labels, cartons, pouches and corrugated boxes.\nProficiency in MS Excel and maintaining procurement trackers.\nFamiliarity with ERP or procurement management systems will be an added advantage.\nKey Competencies\nStrong vendor management and negotiation skills.\nExcellent coordination and follow-up abilities.\nUnderstanding of procurement cycles and purchase processes.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAttention to detail and accuracy in documentation.\nAbility to manage multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.\nOwnership mindset with a proactive approach towards resolving material shortages.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nMaterial Availability: Timely availability of packaging materials as per production requirements.\nPurchase Order TAT: Timely processing and closure of purchase orders.\nVendor Performance: Vendor adherence to delivery timelines, quality and pricing commitments.\nCost Optimisation: Identification of cost-saving and sourcing opportunities.\nInventory Management: Maintaining optimum stock levels and minimising excess or obsolete inventory.\nDocumentation Accuracy: Maintaining accurate purchase orders, invoices and procurement records.\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nWe are looking for someone who:\nHas hands-on experience in packaging material procurement and sourcing.\nUnderstands the complete procurement cycle, from requirement identification to material delivery.\nCan independently coordinate with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders.\nIs comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing D2C organisation.\nTakes ownership of procurement timelines and ensures uninterrupted material availability.\nWhy Nutrabay:\nWe believe in an open, intellectually honest culture where everyone is given the autonomy to contribute and do their life’s best work.
