Who You Are:
The Buyer helps oversee more than $145 million of Contract Manufacturing, Direct Materials (ingredients, packaging), and Indirect Goods and Services (Transportation, Marketing, T&E, MRO) annually. The Buyer will be responsible for managing manufacturers and vendors for assigned categories to ensure compliance to Nutrabolt’s KPIs and quality standards. Working with key internal and external stakeholders, the Buyer will lead supply chain initiatives that result in lower total cost of ownership, higher quality and service levels, and strategic relationships with vendors.What You're Good At:
Coordinates purchasingactivities with supply planningand approved vendorsto acquireinventory in a cost-effective and timelymanner.
Utilizing supply planning tools, strategically plan and purchasedirect materials.
Build and sustain strong relationships with vendorsand supplierstomaximize performance.
Identifyand leverageopportunities toachieve the lowest total cost of ownership for assigned categories.
Perform continuous improvementexercises and develop a roadmap focused on cost savings, process improvement, and supplier relationships.
Exercisevendor performance strategies to ensure ongoing cost improvements, on-time delivery, exceptional quality and service, and market-leading innovation.
Participate in vendor business reviews that focus on meeting established KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Collaborate with other business units to implement businessinitiatives, new product launches, and process improvement.
Serve as an escalation contact when issues arise relativeto suppliers and/or with internal operational departments.
What You Contribute:
3+ years of professional procurementand vendor management experience with Contract Manufacturers, Direct Materials suppliers, and/or Indirect Goods and Services suppliers.
Experience with establishingand maintaining vendor performance metrics.
Experience sourcing and negotiating for contract manufacturing, packaging, raw materials, and/or indirect goods and services.
Experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, beverageand/or consumer packaged goods industries preferred.
Experience in supply planning and/or production planning preferred.
Experience working within Excel utilizingadvanced formulas.
