The Setup Technician I will act upon specific written and/or verbal instructions furnished by the Packaging Supervisor to set-up plant equipment correctly for operation and effectively use time to meet company goals.\n Roles and Responsibilities:\nSet-up/operate pharmaceutical-processing/packaging equipment in conformance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), clean rooms and equipment according to standard procedures and perform varied preventive maintenance duties. \nPerforming set-up and adjustments to manufacturing/packaging equipment to ensure assigned machines run at peak efficiency and operations are within the cGMP guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)..\nSet-up/operate miscellaneous related equipment, repair and/or report defects.\nWill work directly with maintenance to ensure that all equipment is in proper working/running condition with no Quality Errors.\nComplete PMs in the Packaging area, as scheduled by the CMMS Program.\nCreate Work Orders to maintain a Safe and Productive Packaging Line.\nIn addition, the Setup Technician will organize work to achieve daily goals with no errors or deficiencies, follow and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Precautions.\nPerform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives.\nCommunicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment. \nParts inventory control by documenting parts used with Packaging Asset. \nRegular attendance is required.\nWill be required to work overtime to complete PMs and/or repairs during downtime, if needed.\nRequirements\nMinimum Requirements:\nPrevious experience and/or process knowledge in a Maintenance Role is a plus. \nMust be able to work at a fast pace to achieve daily goals. \nMust have mechanical aptitude and the ability to use basic hand tools. \nRegularly required to stand and bend & squat \nMust be able to use hands and arms to lift and reach \nAbility to climb up and down stairs\nAbility to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours\nAbility to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50 pounds\nAbility to use both arms to push, pull or lift.\nEducation and Experience: This position requires a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a GMP or Pharmaceutical environment. 2years of an Industrial Maintenance Program is a plus, but not required.\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None\nExpectations:\nWill demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s Core Values in Co-Workers, Quality and Production Operations.\nNutramax desires to provide a drug-free, healthful, and safe workplace.
