He / she engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations in order to improve the installations and production processes and reduce the total cost of ownership, safety, compliance, environment or quality issues .When executing the projects, the Project / Maintenance Engineer may act as project manager for the project, from the initial budgeting and design phase to execution and delivery of the project to production.\nThe Project Engineer is acting as project manager of capex project from design, business case to execution and completion within specification. He / she is in charge of the planning, budget and deliverable versus the business case endorsed by the business.\nThe Project / Maintenance Engineer works closely with the Maintenance Manager or Technical Manager in order to ensure the technical availability of the assets and installations. The Project / Maintenance Engineer may specialize in a single area (mechanical, construction, transport systems, electrical) or have a broader / generalist role.\nThe level of the Project / Maintenance Engineer will depend on the size of the organisation / site and installations, the scope and size of the project managed as well as the complexity of the production processes / equipment.\nJob Description:\nTechnical project management\n\nDevelops technical project objectives by drafting maintenance of CAPEX project proposals and plans\n\nDetermines project specifications in line with operations requirements, and performance standards; completestechnical studies and prepares cost estimates\n\nEvaluates and validates design alternatives to create optimum designs.\n\nCertifies the technical accuracy of designs.\n\nProjects\n\nParticipates as a team member in a broad CAPEX assignments, or leads project teams in maintenance and CAPEX projects\n\nParticipate in assigned installation and/or maintenance projects, within the project management guidelines.\n\nEnsures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.\n\nMonitoring and auditing\n\nConducts technicalaudits and ad hoc monitoring of existing installations and relevant equipment in order to support the technical availability of the installation\n\nGeneratesreports regarding project / installation status, progress of maintenance and project work, incidents and update relevant systems as well as technical documents as required.\n\nMaintenance and troubleshooting\n\nDefines maintenance and engineeringstandards, procedures and approachesfor the assigned area, in order to enhance the quality and availability of the installation\n\nTroubleshoots in case of (recurring) malfunctions, problems or other issues; Suggests solutions to prevent malfunctions from recurring\n\nAssists in preparing, planning and scheduling maintenance and project work; Supervises (scheduled and non-scheduled) maintenancework, carry out testing and generate and implement solutions and/or corrective action to installation and maintenance problems.May actively participate in the execution of the work whilst supervising\n\nMay maintain or supervise inventory management of equipment, parts, and supplies to ensure availability of equipment / spare parts for continuous production\n\nLeadsmaintenance continuous improvement methodologies and best practices such as TPM, spare part mgt, Cost of ownership optimization, supplier tendersin the field of maintenance with purchasing….\n\nTechnical leadership\n\nProvides technical leadership to a group of (permanently of temporarily)assigned engineers and technicians.\n\nStays abreast of the latest developments in maintenance and engineering\n\nActs as a technical consultant on maintenance and engineering; Contributes to the development of Nutreco technical standards\n\nCompliance\n\nEnsuresthat all activities are prepared and executed in line with all relevant safety regulations and procedures (work permits, LoTo, etc.), as well as technical standards, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing anomalies to others.\n\nSignals potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations\n\nOur organisation:\nTrouw Nutrition is the global leader in innovative feed specialties, premixes and nutritional services for the animal nutrition industry.
