This individual will also be responsible for minimizing down time by detecting potential mechanical and electrical problems\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nEssential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:\nMust have good analytical skills, able to troubleshoot and make on the spot corrections to emergency conditions\nAble to climb stairs and ladders and work safely at elevated heights of 100ft. and Confined Space\nKnowledge of fabrication, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, power transmission, and pneumatics, welding and cutting are necessary.\nLight Industrial Electric required, Hydraulics, Power Transmissions, and Pneumatic; basic computer knowledge; previous feed mill experience desired.\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform related duties and/or special projects as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONSSkills & Competencies:\nSafety, inventory and maintenance processes and procedures\nComputer systems to create spreadsheets is a plus\nTechnical and mechanical systems related to operation\nAbility to:Maintain high quality control standards; effectively problem-solve, supervise and troubleshoot\nCommunicate effectively with all levels of staff throughout the organization\nStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills\nEvaluate employees fairly and objectively\nWork flexible hours; OT, and rotating weekends. \nSkills:Hand Tools: Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties. \nWelding\nFabrication skills\nPlumbing \nElectrical \nAutomotive/Forklifts \nPackaging Equip\nPumps \nCompressor \nInstrumentations/Electronics \nMachinists \nPLC’s \nEquipment Rebuilding \nPneumatics/Hydraulics\nGeneral building repairs \nMIG Welding \nTIG Welding \nStick Welding \nProgram/Operate palletizing Robot.\nEquipment Manual comprehensions: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance, service, or operation.Follow Instructions: Reads instructions / labels and performs work as assigned by department supervisor or lead. \n\nExperience and Training Guidelines:College coursework in technical field desired\nMinimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in feed mill maintenance, industrial, or a production environment.\nMS Office - Excel, Word \nStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully\nExperience with CMMS systems\nSPECIAL DEMANDSPhysical requirements \nOccasional use of keyboard\nFrequent sitting for long periods of time\nOccasional bending or squatting\nConstant use of vision; frequent reading\nFrequent decision-making and concentration\nFrequent hearing and talking, in person and on the phone\nFrequent exposure to noise\nOccasional lifting up to 55 pounds\nWorking conditionsWork may be performed inside or outside in hot and cool temperatures and a noisy environment. May be exposure to loud noises and steam exhaust, and dusty, muddy and slick environment. Adhere to all PPE Guidelines as established by OSHA and the company. PPE required: Safety glasses, steel/composite toe footwear, bump cap (hat liner when approved), uniform or high visibility coverage (jacket or vest), and gloves when necessary.
