complex SQL queries, views, functions, stored procedures, and database scripts.\nDevelop PostgreSQL functions and procedures using PL/pgSQL.\nBuild and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data movement, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.\nAutomate recurring database processes such as data loads, refreshes, archival, cleanup, reconciliation, and reporting jobs.\nSupport application teams with efficient database logic, data access patterns, and query optimisation.\nCreate and maintain tables, indexes, partitions, views, materialised views, and database objects.\nPerform data analysis, data correction, data migration, and production data fixes as required.\nOptimise slow queries using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, query rewriting, and database best practices.\nWork on batch jobs, scheduled jobs, scripts, and automation using SQL, Python, Shell scripting, Airflow, or similar tools.\nEnsure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and source-to-target reconciliation.\nSupport reporting, dashboards, MIS, analytics, and operational data requirements.\nFollow database coding standards, version control, deployment, rollback, and release processes.\nTroubleshoot production issues related to SQL performance, failed jobs, data mismatches, locking, and database errors.\n\nRequirements: \nStrong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL.\nStrong SQL development skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregation functions, procedures, and views.\nGood experience with PL/pgSQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database scripting.\nExperience in ETL/ELT development, data transformation, data loading, and reconciliation.\nGood understanding of indexing, partitioning, query tuning, execution plans, and performance optimisation.\nExperience in database automation using SQL, Python, shell scripts, Airflow, cron, or similar schedulers.\nUnderstanding of data modelling, normalisation, denormalisation, and table design.\nAbility to work with large datasets and optimise batch processing workloads.\nGood knowledge of data validation, exception handling, logging, audit trails, and error handling.\nUnderstanding of Git, CI/CD, deployment scripts, and database change management.\n5-10 years of experience in database development, SQL development, ETL development, or data engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development and database process automation.\nExperience working on production systems, reporting workloads, batch jobs, and business-critical data pipelines.\n\nPreferred Skills: \nExperience with ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or Elasticsearch is an added advantage.\nExposure to data warehouse, data lake, CDC, Kafka-based ingestion, or analytics platforms.\nExperience in financial services, wealth management, broking, banking, fintech, or capital markets is preferred.\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile: \nThe ideal candidate should be a strong hands-on database developer who can write clean and optimised SQL, build PostgreSQL functions, automate database processes, support ETL/ELT jobs, and troubleshoot data or performance issues.\nThe candidate should be comfortable working with application teams, data engineering teams, reporting teams, and production support teams.\nThey should be able to independently handle SQL development, database object creation, query
