We are always looking for exceptional talent to join us on the journey!\nYour Mission\nNuvei is looking for a Senior Contract Specialist to join the Legal Department as part of the Legal Triage Team. The Legal Triage Team is a newly established function that is responsible for handling high-volume, recurring commercial contract requests from Nuvei’s Commercial and Operations teams. The Triage Team manages a broad range of commercial agreements (including merchant services agreements, reseller agreements, contract amendments, NDAs, termination letters, and side letters) using approved templates, defined playbooks, and AI-assisted tools, escalating to in-house attorneys when required. The Senior Contract Specialist will be responsible for executing these contract requests. This is a process-driven, detail-oriented role, ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience with commercial contracts in a structured, well-supported environment.\nAs a Senior Contract Specialist, you’ll own the end-to-end handling of these commercial contracts and become a trusted point of contact for the business while working closely with the Legal Operations Team to drive efficiency across the Legal Department.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate and prioritize the flow of work across the Triage Team\nMentor and support the development of other contract specialists\nOwn and independently manage a queue of commercial contract requests end to end\nMaintain, update and help create template and playbook libraries as directed\nReview incoming requests submitted by the Commercial and Operations teams through the intake system\nPopulate contract templates accurately with specific terms (parties, pricing, dates, jurisdictions, and other variables)\nUse AI-assisted drafting and review tools to support document preparation, always reviewing AI output for accuracy before delivery\nIdentify requests that fall outside playbook parameters and escalate to an in-house attorney according to the defined escalation protocol\nTrack request status, turnaround times, and outcomes in the Triage Team's reporting system\nCommunicate professionally and proactively with internal Nuvei stakeholders regarding request status and required information\nMaintain accurate records in the contract repository, ensuring proper filing, version control, and metadata tagging\nOwn the team’s metrics and reporting, tracking request volumes, turnaround times, and outcomes, and reporting on team performance to surface bottlenecks and keep the workflow efficient \nMonitor request status, turnaround times, and outcomes, and use that visibility to keep work moving and stakeholders informed\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience\n4+ years of experience in a legal, contracts, legal operations, or related professional role \nExperience applying templates, playbooks, or standard operating procedures to draft or review documents with accuracy and consistency\nDeep experience applying templates, playbooks, or standard operating procedures to draft and review documents with accuracy and consistency \nAn operations and efficiency mindset\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes precisely\nClear, professional written and verbal communication skills, and the credibility to work effectively alongside lawyers, Legal Operations, and business stakeholders\nAbility to manage a queue of multiple concurrent requests and meet turnaround targets\nProficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SharePoint, DocuSign, etc.)\nExperience guiding or mentoring others, whether as a senior individual contributor, team lead, or comparable role\nExperience owning performance tracking, metrics, or reporting \nNice to Have\nParalegal certificate, legal studies coursework, or related credential\nPrior exposure to contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, e-signature platforms, or AI-assisted drafting/review tools\nExperience contributing to or maintaining playbooks, templates, or standard positions alongside lawyers or other legal professionals \nFamiliarity with commercial contract concepts (NDAs, standard terms, amendments)\nInterest in the payments or financial services industry\nNuvei is an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates collaboration and innovation and is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workplace.
