We are always looking for exceptional talent to join us on the journey!\nPosition Overview\nThe Technical Configuration Specialist is responsible for the setup, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of merchant production accounts within the payment gateway environment. This role ensures accurate configuration of payment methods, banking information, currencies, MCC codes, terminals, and account profiles while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and business requirements. The specialist works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support merchant onboarding, account modifications, and production issue resolution.\nKey Responsibilities\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot merchant production accounts and payment gateway settings.\nSet up merchant profiles according to specific business, banking, and regulatory requirements.\nConfigure payment methods, acquiring banks, currencies, MCC codes, terminals, and Alternative Payment Methods (APMs).\nManage modifications for existing merchant accounts, including profile updates, additional sub-accounts, and account closures.\nPerform validation and testing of configurations prior to production deployment.\nInvestigate and resolve account configuration issues and transaction-related incidents.\nAnalyze API requests and responses to ensure configuration accuracy and successful transaction processing.\nSupport onboarding projects and production changes for new and existing merchants.\nCollaborate with Operations, Product, Development, Integration, Risk, and Support teams to resolve technical issues.\nMaintain documentation and operational procedures related to merchant configurations and payment processing.\nRequirements\nTechnical Requirements\nPayment & Gateway Knowledge\nStrong understanding of payment gateway operations and merchant onboarding processes.\nKnowledge of payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and Alternative Payment Methods (APMs).\nUnderstanding of transaction lifecycles, authorizations, captures, pre-authorizations, settlements, and refunds.\nFamiliarity with 3DS, fraud prevention configurations, and payment routing concepts.\nTechnical Skills\nPostman for API testing, validation, troubleshooting, and automation.\nExperience working with REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.\nStrong knowledge of MySQL, including querying, data validation, joins, and troubleshooting configuration-related records.\nWorking knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and data analysis tasks.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: \nPivot Tables\nVLOOKUP/XLOOKUP\nData Analysis\nReporting and Reconciliation\nAdvanced Formulas\nBasic to intermediate knowledge of HTML for reviewing and validating web integrations.\nExperience using Sublime Text or similar code editors for configuration review and script editing.\nAbility to read and understand JSON and XML payloads.\nFamiliarity with API authentication methods and technical documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in fintech, payment processing, e-commerce, or merchant acquiring environments.\nKnowledge of payment integrations and troubleshooting transaction flows.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple configuration requests simultaneously.\nEffective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.\nExperience working in cross-functional and international teams.\nDesired Competencies\nAttention to detail.\nTechnical troubleshooting.\nProcess improvement mindset.\nAnalytical thinking.\nCustomer-focused approach.\nTime management and prioritization skills.\nBenefits\n Medical insurance\nPaid Vacation Time, Paid Sick Time.\n Hybrid working environment. \nNuvei is an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates collaboration and innovation and is committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workplace.
