This is a heavily\ncustomer-facing role, and the person in it carries the client-facing title of Associate Director of Operations. You\nare the customer’s primary NuvemRx contact and the person accountable for the partnership's results, and you\nbring a patient-first mentality to operations.\nThis is a local role based in the greater Philadelphia area. You will live in the market, work on-site every week, and, in most cases, work out of the customer's location alongside their leadership team. \nYou own the program end-to-end: 340B optimization and program performance, customer engagement, and building pharmacy teams that run well without daily oversight. Pharmacy Managers across the assigned sites report directly to this role.\nThe work is a mix of planned initiatives and unplanned demand. In a given week you may be leading a capture-improvement project, launching a new service line, or turning around an ad-hoc customer request the same day.\nThis role reports to the Regional Director of Operations and partners closely with Customer Success, Clinical, Compliance, and Human Resources.\nWhat You'll Do\nCustomer Engagement & Program Ownership\nServe as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for customer leadership, including the C-suite, pharmacy leadership, and clinical stakeholders.\nOffice on site at the customer location and maintain a consistent weekly presence with their leadership and pharmacy teams.\nOwn overall program health, including performance against contractual commitments, issue resolution, and escalation management.\nRespond to ad-hoc customer requests with urgency and follow-through, setting clear expectations on what will happen and by when, and then delivering.\nLead recurring business reviews, presenting performance results, gaps, and corrective action plans.\nIdentify and lead growth and improvement initiatives within the partnership, from scoping through execution to measured result.\nFlag emerging customer needs early and come to the table with proposed solutions.\n340B & Program Optimization\nOwn 340B program performance for the account, including prescription capture, contract pharmacy configuration, eligibility logic, and referral capture opportunities.\nAnalyze program data to find unrealized savings, then build and execute the plan to capture it in partnership with the customer.\nPartner with the customer’s providers and clinics to strengthen referral pathways and prescription routing to NuvemRx-managed pharmacies.\nMonitor formulary, payer, and contract dynamics affecting program economics, and adjust the operating plan accordingly.\nBuilding High-Performing Pharmacy Teams\nDirectly manage, coach, and develop Pharmacy Managers, setting clear expectations, priorities, and accountability.\nBuild and retain strong pharmacist and technician teams through hiring, onboarding, development, and succession planning.\nHold sites accountable to their operating metrics, keep staff engaged, and surface problems early.\nPartner with Human Resources on performance management, employee relations, corrective action, and workforce planning.\nSite Operations & Compliance\nOwn operational performance across assigned pharmacies, including workflow, staffing, scheduling, inventory, dispensing accuracy, turnaround time, and patient experience.\nLead new pharmacy openings, conversions, system implementations, and service line expansions in the market.\nEnsure compliance with federal and state pharmacy law, DEA and Board of Pharmacy requirements, USP standards, payer requirements, and NuvemRx policy.\nMaintain continuous audit readiness, lead site audits and quarterly reviews, own remediation of findings, and escalate risk promptly.\nWhat You Bring\nCore Capabilities\n7+ years of pharmacy operations experience, including 3+ years leading pharmacy teams with direct people-management responsibility.\nActive pharmacist license (PharmD or RPh) in good standing, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as required.\nProven success as the primary relationship owner for a customer or major account, including work with senior and executive stakeholders.\nExtensive, hands-on 340B program expertise with demonstrated experience owning 340B program performance end-to-end, including contract pharmacy operations, prescription capture optimization, eligibility logic, split-billing, TPA platform management, and program integrity. Candidates without substantive 340B experience will not be considered.\nA track record of responsiveness and follow-through in an environment with frequent unplanned requests.\nDemonstrated ability to improve operational and financial performance across more than one pharmacy location.\nWorking knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, third-party billing, prior authorization, and payer requirements.\nAbility to read operational and financial data, identify the drivers behind a trend, and act on them.\nResidence in or relocation to the assigned market, with the expectation of working on site at customer and pharmacy locations on a weekly basis.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience supporting FQHCs, community health centers, or other 340B covered entities - strongly preferred given the nature of this customer.\n340B ACE certification - strongly preferred.\nExperience standing up new pharmacy sites or converting existing operations to a new operating model.\nFamiliarity with pharmacy management systems, dispensing technology, and operational reporting tools.\nWho Thrives in This Role\nYou are highly responsive.
