Our New York City office is seeking a motivated Assistant Transportation Engineer to join our team working on diverse public and private infrastructure projects for NYC and State agencies.\nResponsibilities\nThe Assistant Transportation Engineer will :\nGeometric design of intersections, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant elements\nDEP system design and private utility coordination\nUtility conflict identification, resolution, and relocation support\nDesign of flood protection infrastructure\nGrading, drainage, pavement markings, and signage\nSignals and street lighting system design\nMaintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) / construction staging\nPreparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and specifications\nCoordination with NYCDCC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP, MTA, NYC Parks, Private Utility companies, and other agencies/stakeholders\nParticipation in public outreach, community board meetings, and client/agency presentations\nField work includes data collection, surveys, and construction observation\nConstruction support, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and change order evaluations\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college\nProficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience a plus)\nDetail-oriented with excellent communication and technical writing skills\n0-4 years experience\nCertifications/Licenses:\nEIT Certicication Preferred\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe pay range for this position in New York City is $75,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
