We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.\nNV5 is seeking an Geotechnical Engineer for our Charlotte, NC location.\nResponsibilities\nLead and manage the geotechnical engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.\nOversee the planning, design, and implementation of geotechnical investigations and analyses.\nDevelop and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and project documentation.\nCollaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.\nConduct site visits and field inspections to assess soil and rock conditions.\nUtilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and analysis.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.\nParticipate in business development activities, including client meetings and proposal preparation.\nStay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate them into practice.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (master’s or Ph.D. preferred).\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required. (or ability to become registered in North Carolina within 3 months of hire).\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.\nStrong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.\nDemonstrated above-average technical capabilities and working knowledge of basic geotechnical software (LPILE, FB-DEEP, SPW911, SETTL3D, SLOPE/W etc).
