We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.\nThe Senior Field Testing Technician role provides quality assurance/quality control client services on assigned field projects for construction materials and building components per ASTM, ACI, building code standards andor project control documents. This role requires that a detail record of observations, inspections and test results be maintained.\nResponsibilities\nAbility to follow and execute written and verbal directions.\nAbility to perform specific QA/QC tests on construction materials. Perform construction observations and document results in accordance with project requirements.\nAbility to communicate non-conforming tests/observations to site project manager.\nAbility to review and comprehend specifications and plans in accordance with project documents.\nAbility to maintain and submit daily field reports documenting test results and field observations.\nAbility to provide necessary maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment in according to applicable codes and standards.\nAbility to transport, operate, and care for nuclear density gauge equipment provided in accordance with NV5’s radiation safety policy.\nQualifications\nEducation/Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nAt least four years of experience in the field.\nValid driver’s license\nACI Level I Certification\nICC Soils Special Inspector Certification a plus\nRadiation safety training for the use of nuclear density gauges a plus\nNICET certification a plus.\nHigh level of competency in the ability to read plans and specifications.\nNV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.\nNV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
