This key position works closely with AHJ’S and clients to ensure projects are compliant and being completed as expected. Must be organized, detail oriented, highly motivated and able to work independently and efficiently from home\nResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:\n\nResponsible for collaborating with engineering and/or design on specific projects, delivering effective and cost-efficient alternatives and solutions for the\n\nDevelop and deliver reports to clients on recommended updates to ensure compliance and /or operational functionality of fire, suppression and/or life safety systems\n\nProvide code and standard references, as well as document research, reports and interpretations for fire protection\n\nMeet with jurisdiction authorities and clients as needed to resolve compliance questions\n\nContinuously review, and maintain a working knowledge of, changing codes, standards, industry specifications and practices to ensure\n\nRequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:\nBachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent experience and nationally recognized certification(s)\n\nHave passed the EIT Examination, and able to sit for Professional Engineering examination within 4- years\n\nAbility to travel 50% - Mainly US/Canada - Varies monthly - Travel typically M-F for week-long trips but average is 2-3 day trips to site locations. \n\nAuthorization to work in the United States\n\nDue to project locations and travel requirements, candidates need to be within 1 hour of a major USairport.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:\nWorking knowledge of Fire, Life Safety and Building Codes and NFPA Standards\n\nField engineering/consulting experience in fire protection\n\nExperience with or knowledge of passive fire protection\n\nAbility to manage time and meet deadlines and budgets\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\n\nWorking competency with MS Office & MS Project software\n\nThe salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
