You’ll have the opportunity to work across preventative care, complex medical cases, urgent care, dentistry, anesthesia, hospitalized patient care, and advanced surgery.\nOur surgical caseload includes procedures such as TPLO, lateral sutures, MPL and fracture repair, TECA, cystotomy, splenectomy, GI surgery, PU, FHO/DFO, amputations, and more.\nOur hospital is equipped with digital radiography, in-house IDEXX diagnostics, dental radiography, advanced anesthesia monitoring, and therapeutic laser technology.\nMost importantly, we want our LVTs to practice as LVTs. We value strong technical skills, clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and technicians who take ownership of patient care while working closely with our veterinarians and support team.\nFear Free, Patient-Focused Care\nHow we care for our patients matters just as much as the medicine we provide. We want team members who recognize when a patient needs a different approach and are comfortable speaking up for their physical and emotional well-being.\nWhat You’ll Get to Do\nAs an LVT at Ridgetop, you’ll utilize your skills across all areas of patient care, including:\n Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery\n Dentistry and comprehensive dental procedures\n IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and laboratory diagnostics\n Diagnostic radiography and patient positioning\n Medication administration, treatments, and fluid therapy\n Triage and same-day urgent care\n Nursing and monitoring of hospitalized patients\n Advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue surgical support\n Emergency nursing care, stabilization, and CPR when needed\n Client education and communication\n Mentoring and supporting veterinary assistants\n Advocating for Fear Free and individualized patient care\n Who We’re Looking For\nCurrent Washington State Veterinary Technician License required.\nWe’re looking for an LVT who:\n Takes pride in excellent patient care and wants to continue learning\n Is confident using their technical skills and clinical judgment\n Enjoys both routine medicine and challenging cases\n Values Fear Free and low-stress handling\n Can prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment\n Communicates openly and works collaboratively with doctors and teammates\n Knows when to work independently and when to ask for support\n Brings a positive attitude and sense of humor to the team\n Experience with Avimark, IDEXX equipment, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, or advanced anesthesia is a plus, but not required.
