We are committed to providing high-quality veterinary medicine, excellent patient care, and a positive experience for our clients and their pets.\n Whether you are an experienced LVT looking for your next opportunity or a new graduate ready to begin your career, we welcome applicants who are eager to learn, collaborate, and make a difference in the lives of animals.\n Position Overview\n The Licensed Veterinary Technician works closely with veterinarians and support staff to provide outstanding medical care, assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures, and support the daily operations of the hospital.\n We are looking for someone who values teamwork, communicates effectively, demonstrates compassion toward patients and clients, and takes pride in delivering excellent veterinary care.\n Key Responsibilities\n Assist veterinarians with physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatment plans.\n Obtain patient histories, assess vital signs, and monitor patient health.\n Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing.\n Administer medications and treatments as directed and within the scope of Washington state law.\n Perform venipuncture, place intravenous catheters, and provide other appropriate technical care.\n Assist with anesthesia, surgical preparation, monitoring, and recovery.\n Provide nursing care, including patient restraint, hospitalization monitoring, and post-procedure care.\n Assist with dental procedures and dental radiography, as trained and authorized.\n Educate clients about preventive care, medications, nutrition, and discharge instructions.\n Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient updates to the veterinary team.\n Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and properly care for medical equipment.\n Follow hospital protocols for patient safety, infection control, and medication handling.\n Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive workplace.\n Qualifications\n Current Washington State veterinary technician license, or eligibility to obtain the required Washington credential.\n Veterinary technician education and qualifications consistent with Washington State Department of Health licensing requirements.\n New graduates are encouraged to apply if they meet the applicable licensing requirements.\n Strong communication, organization, and client-service skills.\n Compassion for animals and a commitment to high standards of patient care.\n Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced veterinary environment.\n Attention to detail, sound judgment, and a willingness to continue learning.\n Ability to safely handle animals and meet the physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.\n Prior experience in general practice is preferred but not required.\n Compensation and Benefits\n Pay: $26-$32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.\n Our benefits package includes:\n Medical, dental, and vision insurance\n Paid time off and paid holidays\n Retirement plan or employer matching\n Washington LVT license renewal reimbursement\n Employee pet care discounts\n Uniform or scrub allowance\n Predictable scheduling and work-life balance\n We are happy to discuss the full compensation and benefits package with qualified candidates.\n Why Join Our Team?\n At Harbor Animal Hospital, A PetOne Veterinary Hospital, we believe excellent patient care starts with a supported veterinary team.
