This role will drive ERP (Epicor) excellence, design-for-manufacturability (DFM), and operational analytics to improve production efficiency, and product cost structure. This individual will operate as a critical partner to product management, engineering, and operations, ensuring that designs are manufacturable, routings are accurate, and data drives decision-making.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\n1. ERP & Systems Excellence (Epicor Preferred)\n Drive operational efficiency through ERP part setup including EOQ, routings and structure\nPartner with IT and operations to optimize Epicor workflows for HMLV manufacturing\nLead continuous improvement initiatives tied to ERP usage (cycle times, labor standards, scrap tracking)\n2. High Mix / Low Volume Manufacturing Optimization\n Develop scalable processes suitable for engineered-to-order and configurable products\nImprove throughput without relying on high-volume assumptions or rigid standardization\nBalance flexibility with discipline in manufacturing processes and documentation\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce complexity and improve flow\n3. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Leadership\n Partner with design engineering early in development to ensure manufacturable designs\nIdentify cost reduction opportunities through simplified fabrication, assembly, and material selection\nEstablish DFM guidelines and best practices across product lines\nSupport VAVE initiatives to improve margins and reduce part count and variability\n4. Analytical & Data-Driven Decision Making\n Analyze manufacturing performance (labor efficiency, cost variance, lead times)\nBuild and maintain models to support quoting, capacity planning, and process improvement\nIdentify root causes of inefficiencies using structured problem-solving methods\nTranslate data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership\nQualifications\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:\n5-10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high mix, low volume environment\nHands-on experience with ERP systems (Epicor strongly preferred)\nDemonstrated expertise in DFM and product cost optimization\nStrong analytical skills (Excel, data modeling, cost analysis)\nProven ability to work cross-functionally (engineering, operations, product management)\nPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:\nExperience with engineered-to-order or configurable equipment/products\nBackground in packaging machinery or automation systems\nFamiliarity with Lean principles adapted to HMLV environments (not strict LMHV)\nExposure to CAD-PDM integrations and part standardization strategies\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
